No one ever answers the phone, I finally got a number of a sup and after calling the sup and leaving 3 voicemails I just happen to get get this sup on the phone and he was completely rude to the point I told him I would just check some things and call back next week. This sup is going to be of no help to me...

Who can tell me who to contact and get some sort of higher level supervisor, Im tired of this **** and I need to talk to someone about getting a license in CALI.

Sorry its just I am seriously frustrated, its been ONE MONTH since I started calling, I need to take care of this..WHAT THE HECK IS WRONG WITH THIS OFFICE!

Someone else answered this very same question in another thread just a few hours ago.

Thats what I was trying to share with the OP.

I agree with calling the gentleman back first thing in the morning. The BRN is undergoing extreme staffing issues as well as a possible sunset, so the office is under a lot of stress. I understand your frustration. Keep trying, and follow up on the other threads in case someone has additional information that might help you.

oh my goodness-I am not trying to be rude but I am asking if ANYONE HAS A NUMBER TO A SUPERVISOR WHO HAS HELPED THEM. If you read my post-THAT is what I am looking for AND the numbers I do have-the people DONT help SO. Ill post my question again for lack of reading---I am asking if ANYONE HAS A NUMBER TO A SUPERVISOR WHO HAS HELPED THEM. If answers can be contained to this, and only this, that would be awesome. THANKS

I guess your answer is no. No one does. Use the number you have, or go in person seems to be your only options.

Even if I knew a number (and I might, if I looked through my files) I'm not very inclined to help at this point...

In my experience and I have had a few with The CA BON it is very difficult to get anyone there to talk to you on the phone which is also true of just about any govt office in CA. They are just to busy to deal with peons like us. However if you have a questions regarding obtaining a lic in CA - You can find almost everything you need on line - including applications for testing and information on schools and training etc. The only time the BON in CA really wants to talk to you is when they are trying to investigate you and take your license away.

Good luck

Several years ago I applied for a CA nursing license when I was planning to move there. I heard nothing for 6 months. Could not get through on the phone. Then I read online that Gov. Schwarzenegger (sp?) fired nearly the whole BRN and replaced them. At some point I managed to get a live person on the phone who told me the hold up was with the DOJ (you have to be fingerprinted in Calif.)

I contacted the place that did my fingerprints to make sure they had been sent to the DOJ and they had. When I called back to the CA BRN the first comment they made was "Oh, you called the DOJ. Your application has been processed and you should be getting your license in a week." And I did.

I'm sad to hear that this many years later they are not operating any more efficiently. Glad I didn't end up moving there.

Perhaps this attitude was conveyed when you managed to get a supervisor on the phone?

I posted on my original thread this morning, referenced in post #9 above. Go and read my update, I got through to the office this morning and was barely 30 minutes from start to finish. I managed to get what I needed done. Hopefully I wont have to go in person. The number I called is the one on their website, no secret there. Press 0 when you hear the recording.

Be nice to the person on the other line, you never know when they can "accidentally" disconnect you! :)

I might add that I did at one time have a back number contact at the BRN. I probably still have the number somewhere but such contacts are jealously guarded and not given up lightly. If you want the Board to call you back just call and tell someone you are a drug addict and go to worked stoned every day - I guarantee they will get in touch with you in great haste.
