How do I contact the CA BRN

Published

No one ever answers the phone, I finally got a number of a sup and after calling the sup and leaving 3 voicemails I just happen to get get this sup on the phone and he was completely rude to the point I told him I would just check some things and call back next week. This sup is going to be of no help to me...

Who can tell me who to contact and get some sort of higher level supervisor, Im tired of this **** and I need to talk to someone about getting a license in CALI.

Sorry its just I am seriously frustrated, its been ONE MONTH since I started calling, I need to take care of this..WHAT THE HECK IS WRONG WITH THIS OFFICE!

Thanks but this doesnt answer my question--I would prefer if someone else can reply, thanks!

They are very, very understaffed.

Your only hope of talking with a higher level supervisor is to visit the BRN in person. Even if you live several hundred miles away or out of state, an in-person visit is the only way to ensure someone doesn't blow off your needs.

A phone call can be easily ignored, but they cannot tell you to leave the public building in Sacramento unless you are breaking a law.

When you are standing in front of them in person, they are forced to address your concern.

You're welcome. "Someone else" will no doubt give you the answer you're looking for.

Someone else answered this very same question in another thread just a few hours ago.

OK, well I am out of state...anyone who has a number of a supervisor-that would be great. No need to be rude, thanks.

Moved to California Nursing forum. OUCH you sound rather brusk in your inquiry and reply.

How To Speak to a Live Person at the CA Board of Registered Nursing?

This BON has the most work of any state, is severely underfunded and short staffed. Call back the supervisor who's number you already have 5 minutes to 8AM Pacific time to get them fresh in the morning. Have ALL your information lined up and ready to go using sweetest voice and THANK THEM --- get much more from sugar than vinegar.

:)

oh my goodness-I am not trying to be rude but I am asking if ANYONE HAS A NUMBER TO A SUPERVISOR WHO HAS HELPED THEM. If you read my post-THAT is what I am looking for AND the numbers I do have-the people DONT help SO. Ill post my question again for lack of reading---I am asking if ANYONE HAS A NUMBER TO A SUPERVISOR WHO HAS HELPED THEM. If answers can be contained to this, and only this, that would be awesome. THANKS

When you get someone at the CA BRN to answer the phone and help you, come back and provide that number, but don't be rude about it or accuse others of being rude when they are only trying to help you.

I don't think the nurses that replied to u were in any way rude. But this post u just posted with all the capslock in it truly seems rude... Net-tiquette is not new.

We understand ur upset but no need to be rude OP!
