How did you find out about allnurses?

Hey everyone . just wondering how do YOU find out about allnurses.com. I found out about it when I was searching for somehting about nursing school and I looked for it on a search engine. I happened to pass this site on that search. I thought this was interesting site, but not exactly what I was looking for at the time. When I finally realized I was going to do it (nursing school). I thought about this site and been hooked here ever since.:)

I've found that in the past, you can get some really good advice from people if you're only willing to listen and apply it. I've gotten lots of advice and wisdom for other message boards, so I figured there HAD to be a message board relating to my career- and there is! I came across this site from a google search, and I'm sure glad I found it!

I found this site when I typed "Filipino nurses" on the search engine of Yahoo. Since then I kept visiting this site severals times for more than a year until I registerted nearly a year ago.

Back when I was enrolling in nursing school I was surfing the web for nursing sites and found a link to here. Bookmarked it and haven't left since. :p

I found the site by seaching for online schools. I saw that there was a forum, and I love forums so I checked it out. After I read a few of the posts, I was hooled and had to sign up!

I was searching for sites for on-line nursing schools too. Found allnurses and have been coming here ever since.

I was gathering as much information about entering the Nursing Profession as I possibly could to make my final confirmation that I REALLY, truly did want to begin Nursing at my age. One of my personal quires was, "Why do you want to be a nurse?" Another delima was how do I find out the REAL pitfalls, complaints, and down side to nursing? I went online and typed "Why I Want To Be A Nurse" into MSN Search. That brought me to "Why I Want To Be A Nurse" at allnurses.com about page 3 of my search. WOW! Everything I ever wanted to know and could ever ask about Nursing is here. I have spent about three days straight here and have learned more in 3 days than I had in the two previous months of digging. This is a fantastic place, and I'll never leave it! Thank you so much for such a wealth of information.

Basically, I was looking for input at VLS (Veterinary Learning Systems) in relation to how our profession relates to the nursing field. Someone there actually told me of this site/forum. Love it!!
