Hello everyone. this lady I was talking to said that she was a nurse tech at hopkins and she said that they give RN training at the hospital. Just wondering if this is true or not since you have to go through so much schooling to even start your nursing classes. would definately like to know if there is a another alternative.

Yeah i'm taking my first online course class this semester (eng102). I'm looking into it as of today. It's definately worth the shot. Thanks f/ the advice.

also f/ those of u who did get accepted, what were ur GPA's and how many x's did u apply.

yeah I heard alot about this test. I know when I went to the nursing info session they said that it would be used starting with the class coming in the spring. There are a couple of posts on the pre nusing student forum about what the test consist of and how the scoring is, they have different names for the test like NET and the name u mentioned. But what is this about u can take bio102 because just yesturday I was looking in the college catalog and I saw that bio221 had pre reqs of bio110 or bio102 and I looked back at bio102 and it said that it wasn't a general ed class. but would it matter if you took bio102 instead. has anyone talked 2 a counselor about this. I was highly upset when every single class(even at different campuses) f bio110 was full. and then the dean f/ biology left like a 10 min. message on his answer machine about how he wasn't going to sign f/ course overload:uhoh3: . which is going to set me back a whole semester.:offtopic:. but anyway it gets frustrating how much we have to go though. you would think good grades and a year or more wait before you can even start ur nursing classes would be enough.

any websites about ADN nursing degrees? also how do I find out if my state will accept a degree for a online college? And what are your experiences with online degree in nursing? How do yu do clinicals? As I have been reading mostly everyone seems to already be a nurse of some kind to you have to be, do it online?

about your question on when you can apply, you can apply when you finish or are enrolled in A&P II. if you apply and get accepted u could do the micro in a summer session they offer all the sciences in every semester except f/ the winter. When I went to the nursing info session I asked the counselor what was the lowest GPA of the students accepted, (I got the impression she didn't really want to say) but she said although they didn't have that info f/ 2004 .... 2003 lowest GPA f/ the eve/weekend program was a 3.0 I don't think she ever mentioned what is was f/ the day. I would surely like to know if u don't get accepted w/ that GPA. i'm taking bio 110 this spring (pray f/ me).

I happened to pass this site on that search. I thought this was interesting site, but not exactly what I was looking for at the time. When I finally realized I was going to do it (nursing school). Hello everyone I am a pre nursing student and I think I might have GAD (general anxiety disorder). I am wondering are there any nurses who have this or a similar condition? How did you find out you had it? Can you work? How do yu cope? Does the medicine you recieve help you do your job? Are there any side effects of the medicine u recieve? I am not positive I have this condition but I will see my help professional very soon.

Hello everyone. Just wanted to know how did all the mommies out there do there clinicals b/c I posted another post about if you have to be flexible to do your clinicals and a lot of responses said that you do have to be. So I was wondering how are you moms out there flexible when it comes to clinicals.

this reminds me of an episode I saw on MTV's True Life (I'm on adderall) Some part of it was about was about how some students take them to study for finals after partying late. But anyway what is and waht are some of the symptoms of ADD (I think I already know what ADHD is).

Hey new Grads. I usually stay in the pre-nursing student neck of the woods, but this question would be something a grad would know(by experience of course). Well anyway I was just wondering are nursing clincials or classes kind of flexiable(sp?) or would you say that you have to be flexiable(sp?) to do your clinicals. Also what do u do in and what is rotation? :)

Where would I get the number for the Red Cross in my area?( I have no idea what it would be under in the phone book). I was planning on doing that b/c I heard they give them for free but I also heard they could have long waiting lists b/c of that.
