How did you celebrate your nursing school acceptance letter?

Did you Have a party? go out to eat? Jump up and down?

Well, I was in Bio Lab and was getting concerned because a few people had already gotten their letters of acceptance and most had gotten declined. I was talking with my lab partner about other schools and starting the application process and then class ended. I walked out of the class and my best friend called stating that I had a letter from the department of nursing at my school. I asked her to open it and read it to me, so she then said, "I'm sorry...". I was like, "Oh well, I guess I have to start applying for some other schools." Then she said, "You made it!" I was like, "You play too much, girl!" Then I started shouting, "Thank you, Jesus!"

Honestlyi, I feel like such a girl to admit it and would never admit it to my friends. I cried like a little girl, I dont know why, I knew Ide probably get in it was just such a load off. Then me and the wife went to dinner:)

I had been waiting MONTHS to hear if i was excepetd or not. Finally i gave up looking in the mail for a acceptance letter.

My boyfriend checked the mail and put it on the table..later that day i decided to sort through it,opened my letter and screamed. Hit my boyfriend for letting my letter sit there for a few hours, cried hugged him, called my dad and sent out emails and texts

I did the same...we had to turn in a written statement of acceptance. So I dropped my letter off and then cried like a baby in my car for about 10-15 minutes. It has been the best ...most nerve racking experience of my life. ( I am an older student, so that is saying ALOT) I have worked for 2 years getting my pre -reqs done and most of my concurrent electives ...and I have wanted this for so long....all I could think of ..was what if I do not make it?!?!?

I saw it on the University portal (website) and then received an email soon thereafter.... I must have "refreshed" the page and signed in and out several times to make sure this wasn't just a "glitch" in the system. I finally decided I NEEDED to call the admissions office to clarify, and the lady said: "Yes, we have your offer of admission". I jumped/cried/danced/screamed/... anything and everything. I was so excited to know that my dream had finally come true. :nurse:

Jumped around the entire yard from the mailbox to the house...came in and jumped around with my kids..called EVERYONE..went to dinner with the fam..and then that night went out to PARTAY!!

everyone in my program had gotten their letter already, but i had not. i had a pre planned backpacking trip with no phones planned for that weekend. i spent the whole weekend knowing that my answer was waiting for me when i got home... very frustrating. My boyfriend sent me a picture of my cat standing on my acceptance letter. i got the text when my phone got reception as me and 4 friends were driving home. i demanded we pull over and have an impromptu dance party with another car full of friends that we flagged down. great day:)

Well, being that I just received my acceptance letter today, I thanked God first and then told my husband that we need to go out for dinner with our 4 children. He is about to accept a position as a Supervisor so I told him that I would share my celebration! :p

I screamed, jumped around my house and did my happy dance with my four kids. They had been waiting patiently with me through it all and were just as excited as I was! :lol2::yeah::lol2:

I thanked God. Kissed my husband and then hid in a room and secretly did the happy dance!

I was at work when I received the call from my admissions counselor that I was accepted. I wanted to scream at the top of my lungs. After I got of the phone I went outside and called my hubby and my kids and screamed then that I was accepted into the nursing program. I cried and just thanked JESUS for everything because without him I would not have made it. Then I celebrated with the family. I am so excited to be starting nursing in the Fall

I didn't celebrate at all as I pretty much knew I was in before I got the official letter. I did however celebrate my successful completion of the first semester of nursing school by promptly getting wasted after my last final exam.
