How did you celebrate your nursing school acceptance letter?

I called my best friend who was in her first qtr and jumped up and down. I found out while I was waiting for my A&P class to start. My instructor was so happy for me. I thanked GOD almight because he has seen me through my nursing school from start and almost finish I have until Aug 15.

I just got mine TODAY! I started shaking and screaming and jumping up and down. Then I called my husband at work (even though he works in a factory, and my mom at work, and posted it on FB!) I ordered my summer class book (wasn't going to take it if I didn't get in..) and now am lurking here!! :) :yeah:

I jumped up and down for a while, clapping and screaming, and then called my hubby and mom. I made my hubby take me out do dinner, even though he said, "I'm not surprised you got in...I knew you would!" :)

Thats exactly what my boyfriend said too :yeah:

I was walking my dog when I received my acceptance e-mail. I checked my phone, saw the e-mail, looked at my dog, picked him up (and he's a big dog) and danced around the street saying, "I'M SO HAPPY! YOSHI, I'M SO HAPPY!" Then, dropped him off at home and gave him an extra treat!!

I still couldn't believe it was real. So, when I went to work, I checked if the e-mail was still in my inbox. I called my boyfriend later and he took me out to dinner that weekend!

I announced it on FB so that I wouldn't have to tell everyone that I know separately. Then my boyfriend took me out to lunch, and my dad took me out to dinner. It was a good day.

i cried! and then got on my knees (literally)! I sent my mom an inconspicuous text, signed Lauren, SN. She was like, "What's an SN?" lol :lol2:

Well, I said I'd let you know in about a week..it was a week and 3 days..letter came in the mail today IN!! :yeah:

Now, hubby had no idea the letter would be coming, I didn't say anything to him. But he kind of figured something was up when he noticed for the last week or so that I've been getting the mail..i NEVER check the mail! I grabbed it today..flipped through a bunch of junk mail and nearly missed the envelope with the school's name on it...stopped dead in my tracks (burning my bare feet on the hot driveway as I did so)..stared at it..and really was afraid to open it. Finally opened it with shaking hands..to see this "Dear CT Pixie...I am happy to inform you.."

That was it..i started jumping up and down screaming then ran up the driveway (must have been a pretty interesting sight to the passing cars as i live on a very busy and major road). Told my hubby..and he said 'was there any doubt you wouldnt get in?!"

So how will I celebrate..me and the chem book have a hot date for the entire weekend..test on Tuesday. But I'm sure we will do something to mark the occasion.

Congrats Pixie!!

I announced on FB as well :) I never applied to any universities after high school, I always knew I was going to do nursing at the local CC, so I had never gotten an actual "acceptance letter" from anywhere, so it was exciting getting that big manila envelope in the mail and reading that first page. My mom took me to lunch later that week and my fiancé's mom took us out for breakfast that weekend. I start in August, and I'm excited but terrified!
