Harsh nurses

Nursing Students LPN/LVN Students

What is up with having to be a ***** to get respect as a nurse or a student nurse? Honestly during school the teachers are the biggest scum bags on planet earth. I dont know why I even wanna go back to redo my last semester.. yes I failed because a big shot clinincal instructor has that sort of power no matter how hard working and safe you are. I mean surprisingly on the floor I only met two evil nurses and the rest were excellent... no problems w pts. All of them we amazing even the one who threw a washcloth at me. Lol.. but really its the instructors! Arent they the ones not able to work floor anyways? Its obvious cuz they make half as instructors. Gosh I cant get over it. If I dont do something about it I will literally explode

Umm I didnt say half ass I said they make half as much as a nurse but worded it wrong.

Their salary is irrelevant. However, they are generally paid more, at least per hour. Oh, and they are still nurses just working in a different capacity

Goodness. Between this thread and the return of 28studentsfailed, I'm nearly out of popcorn.

OP, I'd give you constructive advice, but I sense you'd only resent it. What exactly do you want from this thread anyway?

According to the previous thread on the same topic, this student asked said instructor to help him/her remember some medical term and also to remind him/her of a patient's diagnosis. Maybe the instructor felt the student nurse was unsafe because s/he didn't know their patient's diagnosis? And depending what medical term s/he asked for help remembering, perhaps the instructor felt the student hadn't absorbed sufficient information to safely practice at clinicals.

I think OP is just looking for ego support and for all of us to go, "Yeah, all nurses are *******TOS!" Wonder if that will still apply once OP becomes a nurse?

No worries on the popcorn...I got extra. ;)

I only got one word of sage advice for the OP: WOOSAH.

I have a big bag of Twizzlers I can share ;-). What's with the disgruntled failed student posts lately? It's always the instructor's fault!

Maybe this is the same OP as student28...or at least related in some way. Idk but it's déjà vu for me.

Maybe that's the problem right there. In my experience, NOT being a jerk is the key to getting respect as a student.

I believe they are all her. All I did was click on her name- all the posts came up

I'm seeing the same thing when I click on her profile. Three different user names and accounts all linked to the same person's profile. Current post is under LPN forum but posts report variances of username has graduated from LPN school, RN school, and attends an FNP program.

Conclusion: there is either a glitch in the system wrongly linking the OP's profile to similar usernames or something smells fishy.
