A Kaiser Hospital in Antioch, CA presented these ROCKS to their nurses for Nurse's Week. I found this on Bonnie Castillo's fb page today.

In all my years of working in healthcare (almost 40), I have never seen anything more insulting and pathetic. I hope Kaiser gets publicly flogged for this.

Careful. There's lots of eager confusion in those places. Rocks are smooth and hard, kind of like....magnets. If they hear about this rock thing they themselves will have you doing inane things so they can try to get one.

I worked at a place where they hired some food trucks for lunch for Nurse's week.
The hospital had always felt that doing something that was just for nurses to celebrate nurses was unfair to non-nurses, so all previous nurses week activities and now the food trucks were open to all staff.
The food trucks were so popular that the wait for food after ordering was half-an-hour or more. The food trucks pointed out to the hospital administrators that a lot of people were ordering but then leaving before their food was ready so the administrators made an announcement that if you couldn't wait for more than half-an-hour for your food that you couldn't order.
Coincidentally, the same hospital administrators had just reinforced that nurses were only allowed a 30 minute lunch break and were not allowed to combine breaks to make the lunch break longer.
Everyone but the nurses, who were prohibited from taking part, enjoyed the free lunch in honor of nurses week.
