A Kaiser Hospital in Antioch, CA presented these ROCKS to their nurses for Nurse's Week. I found this on Bonnie Castillo's fb page today.
Bonnie Castillo, RN, is Executive Director of National Nurses United (NNU), California Nurses Association/National Nurses Organizing Committee (CNA/ NNOC). https://www.facebook.com/NNUBonnie/posts/1200529727048154
In all my years of working in healthcare (almost 40), I have never seen anything more insulting and pathetic. I hope Kaiser gets publicly flogged for this.

Our Dean gave us, a stone (if we helped her find a clinical replacement.) She put them in a plastic bin that fell on the floor whenever you enter the room. . I got tired of fixing it. She had no concept of gravity. I know I should have walked away, left the stones on the floor, but I went and got a magnetic device with a stronger metal to hold them. There was no recognition for this "atta girl'
She moved on to a "better Job" , lost it and is now doing contract work!

We got a 3 inch plastic fork, with a note that said "thanks for sticking with us" ? I think I'd rather got the rock.
