Happy Day! A student, who is not well-known to me, brought me a card with a little notepad.

"You guys are appreciated and make things run easier and better at school. Health issues can greatly impact one's education, and I'm very grateful that the school has you to make sure the students are in good condition! You mean a lot to the students :happy: "

I have to admit, I take you guys for granted that you'll be here day in and day out to support, educate, develop, and generally nurture this wonderful group of school nurses; AND kick some butt when it's needed. I know you kicked mine a few times, when I earned it, and I became a better person and nurse because of it. So girls and boys, I salute you for being YOU and for being the awesome school nurse and "guardian of the kids" all of you are!!

Happy Nurse Day!

I know how you guys feel. I never get much recognition on what I do.

So I decided to put a sign up about National School Nurse Day (even though technically I'm not a SN) and I didn't think much on it, but today I went to get my breakfast and coffee, walked back to my office and there was these beautiful flowers and a thank you card from my co-workers! I was so surprised!

I never get anything, so I was really happy. :3

I know most of us won't get individual recognition, it can be lonely in the shadows, but know that you all are an important part of the educational system and free up the educators to educate. Also revel in the fact that we are the best board on AN. Happy school nurses day.

This thread- touches my heart very deeply- kind of even teary-eyed. Thanks to ALL of my peeps on this Board! I just hate to imagine getting through my days without you all. I love the fun and goofy stuff we talk about, but the serious stuff is what really makes me better everyday! A great big Happy School Nurse Day to all of you. I am really celebrating- I have more snacks than usual, and a big Mango Slush and Diet Dr. Pepper to get me through this great day to celebrate us!
