Gross Things You Wish You Didn't See (G-rated)

Updated:   Published

So, at Thanksgiving one of my relatives and I were talking about the unhealthy diets that are landing people in the hospital. She told me that a doctor friend of hers was examining a morbidly obese woman and found a moldy twinkie under her breast. He picked out the twinkie, held it up and told the woman that this type of eating was the cause of her problems.

I kid you not.

i had a homeless lady come in once who was very very mentally ill and had a literal fear of water - you can imagine how dirty she was. she had a spider nest in her HAIR!!!!!!!!!!!!

and the other was another homeless guy with diabetic ulcers - who had maggots. the maggots probably saved his life. the wound was bad and deep - but *so* clean!

i had a patient with a potato pessary too!!! it sprouted more than eyes, lol.... it was more like legs.

also had found a snickers, a vienna sausage, watermelon seeds and a half eaten taco in fat folds. one lady stuck her finger in the sour cream and said "well, it's from yesterday. do you think its still good?"

OMG I think I just threw up in my mouth a little.

EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEW this is just gross I wont be eating any breakfast this morning LOL

...I have only one reply to finding foods in folds or orifices: "trick or treat".

Ok, This this thread is actually a bit disturbing and I have never supported symbiotic food/flesh relationships.

Yes, most of "these people" do shower every day. I'm really fat and I shower every day, roll myself to work, and I even store my lunch in a lunch bag, not in my numerous fat rolls. The fat rolls are saved for those on the go snacks.

Did you know you can BUY maggots? Our wound care department has ordered medicinal maggots for exactly this purpose!

It worked, too.

So, how does all this food get into their skin folds? Do they cook naked, and slipped and landed on the counter?

Should there be a civilization ending apocolypse the obese are going to out live us all! Not just because of the fat stores but also because the portable food stashes that they carry around with them can probably sustain them for quite a while.
