Hi everyone! Is anyone else in the process of applying to Grady Memorial’s RN residency program that’s set to start this August?
I may be impatient (?!) but I applied a little over a week ago and have yet to hear back.
Has anyone heard anything back? Or for anyone who went through the process for Winter 2020, how long did it take you to hear back?
Just now, Survivor3222 said:Not sure what to make of it, but I too emailed the recruiter letting her know that I decided to accept an offer with a different hospital system. I got the same "I'm sorry to hear you won't be joining our team" email. It also seems to be specialty oriented. Has anyone in Women's Services received an email?
Yes! I interviewed for the NICU and got an email to set up a meeting time

I interviewed with Mother/Baby/Antepartum and received an email!

I think everyone should hold tight. There are different hiring managers for each unit. Some units accept a greater number of residents than others and may need time to choose carefully. One email vs no email does not constitute not being chosen.
It sounds positive for those who did receive emails. I couldn't imagine setting time aside to have a meeting that doesn't result in an offer.
Those who didn't receive emails, could very well receive one by the beginning or middle of next week.
I applied for L&D and I withdrew my application. Good luck to all!
When I emailed to let them know that I accepted an offer elsewhere...The recruiter responded by saying, "Thank you for the update, sorry to hear you will not be able to join our team. Please keep my contact information if anything changes or for future opportunities."
I wouldn't worry so much about the email. Reach out to the Recruiter first thing Monday morning. The recruiters know, and will most likely cut to the chase when asked.
