I thought it would be cool to start a thread for all that are graduating in 2011. I finish in October and have to wait for graduation in December. I would love to hear everyone's plan after they finish school. What field of nursing are they going into, do you already have jobs lined up etc.

Graduated in May, passed NCLEX in July, job interview today.

Specializes in Med-Surg/Oncology.

I graduated in the middle of March, was offered a job (pending the results of NCLEX) in April, passed NCLEX towards the end of April, and started working in the middle of May!

I'm working on a Med-Surg/Oncology floor. I've been off of orientation for almost a month now, and things are going pretty well!

Congrats to all the other 2011 grads!:yeah:

Specializes in Telemetry.

I was offered a position today @ Torrance Memorial Medical Center, I have been searching for the past 4 1/2 months. I graduated in January(2011), passed NCLEX March. God is good!!!!!!!!!!

Congrats to everyone!!! I will be graduating in December! I would like to work in the OR. I am continuing my education to get a BSN and then hopefully my MSN. My ultimate goal is to be a Nurse Educator.

Graduated with a BSN in May, got my license in July, and have 2 interviews this month. hoping to get into critical care or med-surg/telemetry. Hope we all get the job we want! :nurse:

I graduate tomorrow!!!!

Specializes in Telemetry.

I finished in May, passed the the NCLEX July 20th, and will work starting the 8th. Yey, I will actually be a nurse now:dncgbby: I feel like the last 2 years was all about passing the boards. It's been grueling but VERY rewarding.

Specializes in FNP/FPMHNP-BC.
Specializes in MedSurg, Clinic, ER.

I graduate tomorrow from a Vocational Nursing program. I have had a job lined up on the MedSurg floor of my local hospital since January thanks to a reference from an instructor. I'm also a glutton for punishment and have been registered for Fall GenEd classes for the LNV-ADN program since April.

Specializes in LTC.

I graduate ( Lord willing) in December 2011. Can't wait. No jobs lined up yet but still looking.

Specializes in Critical Care.

I graduated in May. Passed my boards in July (I cried when I got the quick results). I've been on 3 job interviews so far (2 before I passed my boards). I went on a job interview on Wednesday for an ICU nurse fellowship, and then went on the second interview on Thursday with the nurse manager of the unit. Now I'm waiting to hear if I got the job. This is my dream job! I know I have to be proactive and persistent. I've already emailed the first lady I interviewed with. I'm going to email her tomorrow and ask for the second lady's email address so I can send a thank you note. Pray for me guys!!! The program doesn't start until October 10, so I hope it doesn't take forever for me to hear back.
