Nursing Shortage
martina238612 welcome to the most back stabbing U would ever experience in your life. Always keep your guards up. No one is your friend. Keep it very professional and thrust no one, not even your patients. I am keeping it real.

Nursing Shortage
We try to prove to doctors that we are more than bedpan fetchers. In reality they don't really care what we are called as long as we fetch that bedpan.Thats one of the mean reasons that everyone can use the title of "nurse". What the hell is a "baby nurse"?

Nursing Shortage
I want to type freely and don't offend anyone.

Nursing Shortage
mso819. and the sad part, they don't want us to be called doctor even though we have a DNP.
-
Nursing Shortage
When the nurses that are in management finish with us, we are going to need double doctorates to practice nursing.
-
Nursing Shortage
Maybe we should get doctors to go back for their Ph.D's.
-
Nursing Shortage
The nursing shortage was just a scheme, now they got a new one, "DNP".

Nursing Shortage
And this is my opinion. There is no need to read every word in a passage to get the whole message.

Nursing Shortage
Zack1110 I understand exactly what you typed and very happy that u took the time to type it. Keep up the good works.

Nursing Shortage
I have friends that are doctors and they tell me that they give the nurses lip service because they want the nurses to continue doing their work for them "like calling them and being proactive about the patient" when in reality they pity the nurse and think she is just one glorified secretary. Better yet, a monitor. When things don't go right blame the nurse. Nurses as a whole will eat each other up and back stab each other. Should I type more? SO PLEASE lets support each other and stop fighting amongst our selves.

Nursing Shortage
I am not proud to be a nurse. We as nurses get dump on for everything. We get no respect and we pretend that nursing is all well.

Nursing Shortage
Why can't we all get a long. I am leaving bedside nursing within the coming year, that will free up a position.

Would you accept this call out excuse?
Why should it be an excuse if she is telling the truth. Look at it this way, what if i was drunk and I call U and tell U," boss I can't make it tonight because I had a little to much to drink" would U tell me to come in? In this age and time, we want people to be up front with us but can we really handle or even appreciate the truth. Patient safety comes first. Staff is so over work. If a patient got hurt under her watch U would of been singing a different tone . Like, " if she knew she was not a 100% she should of call out" or better yet, she should of call out with a good lie. Well, I would love to have that CNA on my team.
