For quite awhile, I've been feeling more and more dissatisfied with the content, tone, and bent of many, many threads on this board.
I think I've just hit my limit.
I'm formally withdrawing from participation here.
To some of you, farewell...
To others, good riddance...

Is this the same as "reply to me if you want to stay on my Facebook friends list as I clean it up" cry for attention? Seriously, I am not the cuddliest here but even I enjoy your posts once on a while. Stick around
I was in your shoes 4-5 years ago. I deleted this website from my favorites and was gone for 3-4 years. I returned under a different user name in January of last year. A few months back when the website underwent a new application, I was unfamiliar with the new site and offered my advice to a Foreign nurse on tips for transitioning to RN or securing a job or something like that. Why on earth did I do that?!?!! One of the guides here yelled at me in BOLD CAPSand basically told me to stay in my lane. I was very offended by that tone because I've NEVER talked to anyone like that. I must admit that I was hurt by those words and stayed away from this site during the better part of my capstone semester because I didn't need the added grief that I got when I was well-meaning in my response to a post.
I came back because I know without a doubt that I have information and knowledge that the newcomers and late-coming life learners can use and benefit from as a result of my experiences. It is said that we are hurt more by the ones we feel close to. So, deductive reasoning would suggest that this website holds a special place in our hearts.
Take a much-needed, well-deserved break, 'music in my heart', and come back. You have to "forgive them, for they know not what they do" or how they affect someone with their words.
Hope to hear from you soon....
