GOD in NURSE is the Difference!

Nurses Spirituality

Published

Hi great nurses in the House. I am proud to be called a Nurse because we are in-charge, we save life, in other words i can say we are soul keeper or soul savers but i taught on some questions,

1. Am i so professional that i got lives saved?

2. what happens when lost a responding patient?

3. what happens when the miraculous happens?

I began Thinking on this few questions and at last i got the Answer that great nurses are made by God. And i can boldly say GOD IN THE NURSE IS ALL THE DIFFERENCE

Whats your view on this?

Being able to communicate in a professional manner is an essential skill for a good nurse.

Apparently, all that's needed is God.

There are athiests in this world who are darn fine nurses. And there are plenty of Christians in this world who are the most despicible people you'd ever hate to encounter.

I think the most you hoped to do with your post is stir the pot and see what rises to the top.

Okay.....I think we have made our difference points of view clear.

It is clear that the OP is from another country. While they may reside within the US as they say they are in taxas, USA...it is clear that they have challenges with the language and conveying their intention.

I believe that they are not in the US but in another country....it is often we see posts like this from people who are in Nigeria. I believe that their religion and stating what their beliefs are is a very brave thing to do considering the politics in their country.

Lets be tolerant and supportive for we are an international site and serve people from all over the world...let's learn from each other.

There's such a thing as just ignoring a post, people.

Good idea, Red Kryptonite. Why didn't you follow it?

Ok, I'll bite. I"m taking a comparative religion class, so I'm kind of in the mood.

I believe that God helps ME to be a good (insert title here). I also believe that there are other good (insert title here), and that they may or may not be good because of God. I am grateful to have this wonderful thing that I call faith, and I love to share it with anyone who would like me to but I also try not to be preachy or over bearing, because I believe that does more harm than good. I think that many over zealous Christians come off as being "Holier than thou" and I don't think that's in anyone's best interest.

OP, I think what others are trying to say is that as a Christian, you can give God the Glory for the work he has done in YOUR life without making other people feel like you don't think they are as good and capable as you.

Truth is God can use anyone, believer or not, but a believer may be more aware of God's presence. Sometimes a miraculous healing occurs where even non-believers see something miraculous that cannot be explained by science! For some reason, some nurses take offense when God is brought up and want to have a separation of church and nursing, not sure why. I do pray before work, truthfully, as much for myself as for the patients. I pray for protection for myself and guidance, that I may do no harm, and healing for my patients and for a peaceful night! I've seen stroke patients recover completely and while others might not call this a miracle I do! I have seen a dying man with hepato-renal syndrome go into a coma and then come out completely recovered and set free from drinking. The HMO wanted the patient discharged to a nursing home to die, and even while physically he looked terrible, the Dr fought for him to stay because his lab values were reversing back to normal and he did recover!

The mystery to me is why some people are healed and others are not, especially when the young and children get sick or have cancer. Which goes into the larger mystery of why some people are saved from danger and others aren't. I still wonder why and have no answers for that! Yet I trust in God and I am not ashamed to say that I depend on him to help me in life and as a nurse. Nursing is the hardest job I've ever done and sometimes I don't even know how I do it!

I'm quiet about my faith at work, but if a patient wants to pray or talk about God I will pray with them. I also don't want to be one of those Christians others complain about as overbearing or hypocrites. I don't want to be a bad example, and I know only too well that I'm far from perfect and am just another struggling person at work and in life. I've met devout and holy people from many faiths and I know God works through them too!

You posted on nursing and spirituality and it is unfortunate that so many of the responses have been hostile to you and God. Some people feel the need to advertise that they don't need God and even don't believe in Him and become angry at anyone who brings Him up. It is unfortunate and sad! But there are many nurses that do believe in God but have chosen to remain silent so as not to be attacked or ridiculed. Let's respect each others differences and remember these comments are under the nursing and spirituality forum.

Which god are you refering to? Nurses I know worship a variety of gods, and some none at all. What god is it that makes this difference?

I agree with you. It seems everyone is fine and dotty until someone mentions "God" then they feel great offense!

Obviously these nonreligious, atheists SAW "GOD" in the thread BEFORE they clicked on it. It's nice that you come to this conclusion after thoufougly thinking of the possibles, the miracles etc. Glad you're bold to proclaim your faith sir/mam. GOD IN THE NURSE IS ALL THE DIFFERENCE, can't nobody stop you from saying this.

Try reading. Twice I mentioned a specific Goddess, so I don't qualify as an atheist by any stretch of the imagination.

I'm not offended by the mention of God. I'm offended by those who claim to be better than others because they're Christian - that's so unchristian it's stupid. Look up piety and humility.
