Hi great nurses in the House. I am proud to be called a Nurse because we are in-charge, we save life, in other words i can say we are soul keeper or soul savers but i taught on some questions,
1. Am i so professional that i got lives saved?
2. what happens when lost a responding patient?
3. what happens when the miraculous happens?
I began Thinking on this few questions and at last i got the Answer that great nurses are made by God. And i can boldly say GOD IN THE NURSE IS ALL THE DIFFERENCE
Whats your view on this?

anyway from experience best nurses are made from the complete support of God. because some cases cant just be handle by just common experience of drug. a NURSE with GOD is all that make the difference. Agreed?
OP, what does this make me? Rubbish Nurse? Subpar Nurse? Chopped liver Nurse?
It may not have been your intention, but don't you see how very insulting your posts can be to someone who doesn't believe in God or to someone who believes in another deity?
As I understand your posts you think that you belong to the category "best nurses". What specifically is it that makes you better than those who don't share your faith?
I'm genuinely curious.
you must be PAPA nurse. Ancient in the field.
This is funny. Maybe not so much of a language barrier after all, hmm?
That being said, I disagree with you in your topic post, OP. I don't think GOD in the NURSE makes a great nurse. I think experience, education, compassion, strong work ethic and a sense of humor makes a great nurse.
Sukan,
I respect the fact that you overcame the language barrier and became a licensed nurse in the U.S. That is a huge achievement.
Religion is not as much a part of the culture and a nurses identity here as it is in the Phillipines. I guess that is because this country is so diverse. There are people who might misinterpret your devotion and enthusiasm for self promotion which I know was not what you intended to convey. You need to take it down a notch.
Did you mean that the the values, ethics and morals of the nurse make the difference? That we care for the body, mind and soul? If so, I couldn't agree more. Maggie

My view is that I work purely with the physical body. While a patient's mental health is very important to the healing process (and I use my resources to optimize a patient's mental health), I am not responsible for their soul. While I have a deep faith in God, I do not feel that my faith is what makes me a good nurse. My education, my experience, and my learned skills are what help my patients. I do not have a hero complex and I do not refer to myself as "saving lives" or "saving souls."
OP, I wish that you would move out of your desire to state your theories and beliefs and answer a question that was asked of you; namely, if you feel that your faith in God is what makes you a good nurse, how do you feel about outstanding nurses who do not believe in God or who believes in a different holy entity, or believes in no holy entity at all?
We are curious about your answer.
I just can't even. It's like the OP is talking to his/her self.OP, may Brigid bless your hands and heart with her healing fire as well.
The OP is talking to himself. He doesn't really want a dialog. At least it's in the Nursing and Spirituality Forum where I should have known what I was getting into.

My view is you are wrong, but I am sure that nothing will dissuade you of this wrong-headed, divisive view.
