The dreaded panty line.......

I have to wear white pants for clinical and although I haven't purchased them yet, I suspect that since they are white you will probably be able to see through them.

Anyone have any suggestions on how to hide the appearance of your underwear underneath?

I once heard that if you wear nude or tan colored bras/underwear under white it blends in with your skin and is hardly noticeable.

I have also thought about wearing support hose too thinking that if they are white or nude it may make them less noticeable and may help with circulation too.

Let me know if you have any tips.

Good idea on the support hose. Even sheer energy hose works.

Support hose feel the best after a long day. :)

Just remember wearing pantyhose under pants ups your chances of getting a yeast infection.

The only time I wear granny panties is under scrubs/whites...so what if I have panty lines...so does exeryone else.

We are not supposed to wear thongs either. But sometimes thats all thats clean! hehe. Beige works well, the best thing though is a long scrub top, and loose pants. Sometimes I wear support hose, but sometimes its just plain a pain to get those things on.

Kids R fun,, i was kind of wondering the same. Who cares if someone has panty lines under uniforms,, at least they have some on!!!! To many other things to worry about during a working day than whether your panty line is showing or not.

I wore white and never worried about it. When patients are sick and at your waist level, they most certainly don't look. Like I said. I never worried about it. Also, my tops weere always long enough, they went below the hips. Didn't even know it was a concern. Color me naive. :imbar

I just have to say, that is rediculous that some schools tell you you cant wear a thong! I can understand the bra, but who's business is it what kind of undies you wear? I wear regular under my whites, but I dont really care who sees my panty line.

man, when I had to do clinical in my Dr Kildare oufit,I knew people could see the outlines of my fruit of the looms-those peek a boo ice cream suits cross gender lines.

Only thing I was worried about was if I happened to grab a pair of torn fruit of the looms- now that would not look too cool.

A long top or lab coat. You can see nude, beige, tan, etc. I decided to wear a white dress and slip during clinical for just that reason.

The truth is, patients DO notice. I've heard them comment about one nurse who wears white pants and white underpants. You can see them and I've heard patients laugh about it.

I was a teen in the 70's when those awful anti- "panty line" panty hose commercials came out. Still have a fear of panty lines . . . old habits die hard.

LOL I think you should go all out and wear *black* underwear and bra under those white scrubs! Maybe do a Madonna/nurse kinda thing....lol

I think the thong or nude color panties should work fine though.

Get your pants at Walmart. Bobbie Brooks for $9.99. You definitely can't see through those. Wear your shirt out and wear a vest or warm up jacket. And if they want to look then, well who cares?

African Americans tell me that wearing black lingerie helps to not show for them.
