Got the phone call, not the letter

I didn't get the happy, "Everything looked fine," letter. I got the ominous, "Please call about your mammogram," phone call. *sigh* I had a fibroadenoma removed from my right breast about ten years ago and got another, "please call us," phone call about five years ago (cysts in left breast). For being so stinking small, they have sure caused me enough problems. :icon_roll

I'm scheduled for a spot compression mammo (yay! my favorite thing!) and possible ultrasound on 3/13. Pat me on the head and tell me I'll be okay. Thanks.

Must be the time of year......I got the same phone call a few days ago and Im having the spot compression views done on 3/11 so you pat me on the head and I'll pat you on the head and we'll both be just fine.

You BOTH will be fine, 'K? :icon_hug:

I know how scary this can be. I had a fibroadenoma when I was 28, then when I was 46 I had some calcifications on a routine mammogram that hadn't been there a year earlier, so I got a call-back for the ever-popular spot compression view. To say I was nervous would've been the understatement of the century......a friend of mine had just been diagnosed with breast CA not a week before.

Fortunately, all turned out OK. I didn't even need a biopsy. And when I went back for a follow-up six months later, there was nothing at all in that area except normal tissue. Who knows what it was..........at any rate, it was an enormous relief.

I feel for ya, ladies. But you WILL be OK.........OK?;)

had a lumpectomy followed by the lymph gland stuff-biopsy was postive but the lymph glands were clear

really give you some empathy for patients

i am standing beside you both

in my prayers

I'll pat you both on the head and send tons of prayers. I'm sure you will both be just fine.

hugs and prayers for both of You

Best wishes to both of you. Remember that the vast majority of callbacks result in nothing at all. Radiologists are a cautious bunch. :D

My second mammogram of my life resulted in a callback for an ultrasound. Fortunately just a simple cyst.

Hugs to both of you and prayers are going up. I am praying that both of you will get excellent news. (I am approaching the first anniversary of my diagnosis and am going strong! If I can help either one of you, please, don't hesitate to let me know.)
