Got the phone call, not the letter

I didn't get the happy, "Everything looked fine," letter. I got the ominous, "Please call about your mammogram," phone call. *sigh* I had a fibroadenoma removed from my right breast about ten years ago and got another, "please call us," phone call about five years ago (cysts in left breast). For being so stinking small, they have sure caused me enough problems. :icon_roll

I'm scheduled for a spot compression mammo (yay! my favorite thing!) and possible ultrasound on 3/13. Pat me on the head and tell me I'll be okay. Thanks.

Sorry it took me longer to get back to you but Im so happy you're results were negative....Mine were also neg!!

However I developed a Jones Fx of the 5th metasaral a few weeks back and had surgery on it this past Monday. This is the second time the bone has been broken so Im NWB to the right foot which sucks cuz Im not all that good on crutches but time will heal :)

THERE she is!!!! I have so been wondering about you! I'm thrilled at your neg results, not so thrilled about the crutches. I HATE crutches. Hang in there and heal well!

Thanks for posting your results!

you'll be just fine i have to go back in about 4 months to get rechecked because my mamogram showed something that the docs feel isn't nothing to worry about. but i'm worried so i do go back in 4 months to have another mamogram and i'll be fine too.

Sooo we will both be just FINE.

I just had MY callback mammogram---there was yet another 'calcification' they were concerned about, wouldn't you know it!---but it was OK too, thank God. I thought I was going to end up standing on my head to get those spot compression films; the area they were concerned about was in a very awkward location. But it was worth the discomfort and the two-hour appointment to learn right away that nothing was wrong and I don't have to go back for a year. YIPPEEE!!

Two pats from a fellow nurse. You will be in my prayers as well.

You'll do great! And they're not as painful as you may have heard.

Prayers from here, too!
