Adele webber from greys anatomy

Specializes in NICU, Infection Control.

Carol Hathaway - ER

Merideth from Greys- Strong independent who isn't afraid to go above and beyond her duties.

She is a doctor.

Specializes in NCSN.

Nurse Claire from Daredevil/Jessica Jones/ Netflix Marvel

Christina Hawthorne played by Jada Pinkett Smith in the show Hawthorne. She was such a personable character to relate to because she had the same issues as every other nurse would at home on top of her responsibilities in the hospital. She also worked very hard in the hospital, but also made sure she put her family first. Nevertheless, in the hospital she fights very hard for her nurses and tries whatever she can to make sure all the nurses are happy and maintain their jobs during times of budget cuts. Even if some of her actions are against protocol she always follows her heart.

Specializes in Cardiac Care.

Margaret Houlihan (Hot Lips) on MASH. She was smart, strong, capable and could go toe to toe with every physician there, in an era where that was not the norm. She supported her nurses and had their backs, advocated for those patients and was incredibly disciplined, both personally and professionally. She wasn't there to be liked, but she wanted to be. She was deeply and profoundly human in a very inhuman environment.

Specializes in School Nurse.

It is hard to pick only one nurse from "Call the Midwives" on PBS, but my favorite has to be Nurse "Chummie" Noakes.

These nurses work in the worst area of London's East End starting in the late 50's through the early 60's and are based on the memoirs of Jennifer Worth. The situations they encounter range from a teen girl hiding her pregnancy, abuse, and stillbirths. Each case is handled with the utmost respect.

The nurses are given a bag of supplies (with glass equipment) and a bicycle. Watching Nurse Chummie learn how to ride a bike was hilarious. These ladies work tirelessly for the poor of London.

Margaret Hot Lips” Houlihan

M*A*S*H* is a classic and my dad has retired MSG. I remember watching this as a child with my parents.

Nurse Claire from Daredevil/Jessica Jones/ Netflix Marvel

Oh man, I might have to change my answer. Claire is the bomb. Wish I could be a nurse for superheroes.

Specializes in CCU, SICU, CVSICU, Precepting & Teaching.
Merideth from Greys- Strong independent who isn't afraid to go above and beyond her duties.

Isn't Meredith an MD?
