We all know that the way Nurses on television are portrayed is wildly inaccurate and at times even insulting. With that being said, though, watching those shows can also be a guilty pleasure. I went to nursing school because of Dixie McCall on 'Emergency'. Boy, was I surprised several years later when I realized that being a nurse was nothing like they portrayed on that show.

My favorite nurse is Bokhee from Grey's Anatomy. She is a scrub nurse that has been there for every season, even though all the main characters for the most part are not. It shows you that nurses leave a lasting impression. She has no speaking lines, but that did not stop me in noticing the importance that she holds in the show.
