Colleen McMurphy from China Beach
she enlisted as a nurse during the Vietnam war to make a difference. That's what we all want to do as a nurse.
she faced some of the toughest things to see and was unable to save all, yet she wole
up and kept doing it again and again.
she always showed compassion for the people she treated.
I absolutely LOVE: Jesse "Mama" Sallander (played by Luis Guzmán) on the show 'Code Black
This character is so honest, caring, and truthful!! He takes charge of "his" ER and doesn't take any smack from the new residents or established physicians if they are in the wrong. Truly an almost real-life portrayal of a seasoned nurse and the knowledge that comes from seeing and being a part of many different healthcare scenarios throughout a long career of caring for others. I cry every week when I watch this show!
Carla from Scrubs. She was fine with being a floor nurse because it was her passion. When Turk offered to send her to Nurse Practitioner school she was offended because she knew she wasn't "just a nurse" as he put it. She was compassionate and advocated for her patients. She set a good example for nurses and made me want to be a nurse myself! She loved what she did and never wanted to change.
