  1. Nurse Manager: All of your patients love you! Me: Of course they do
  2. "Your profession is not what brings home your weekly paycheck. Your profession is what you're put here on Earth to do, with such passion and such intensity that it becomes spiritual in calling." Vincent Van Gogh
  3. Me: Dr I've given the patient Tylenol as ordered and an hour later temp is still 102.9. It's too soon for Motrin Dr.: Is your patient covered? Me: Well he did have a blanket on and socks but I took them off and he now just has a sheet on. Dr: (laughing hysterically, which is funny because he is elderly and serious all of the time) No!! Is your patient covered by antibiotics!!
  4. "Oh that rash? No it's not contagious those are bedbug bites".
  5. "That was a long 13+ hour shift, is there anything left in there?"
  6. I absolutely LOVE: Jesse "Mama" Sallander (played by Luis Guzmán) on the show 'Code Black This character is so honest, caring, and truthful!! He takes charge of "his" ER and doesn't take any smack from the new residents or established physicians if they are in the wrong. Truly an almost real-life portrayal of a seasoned nurse and the knowledge that comes from seeing and being a part of many different healthcare scenarios throughout a long career of caring for others. I cry every week when I watch this show!
