What are some of the funniest names that you guys and gals have seen at work? I'll start
Twins : Roderrick and Roderricka,
Twins : Autumn and Fall
Girl : Asshole (A-sole-lee)
P.s. This thread is just for fun.....
A hospital across the street from ours had a lady who names her kids;
Orangejello (Or-on-juh-low)
Lemonjello (Luh-mon-juh-low)
Sh!Thead *spelling changed (Shuh-Theed)
A lady who I work with that took care of the last one walks around calling people "Shuh-Theed" (Sh1thead). It seems the first two are somewhat common.
the most recent: Carlene...weird for a baby
Well, those women named Carlene were babies once...
A little while ago we had a set of triplets who were named after characters from Dungeons and Dragons. They were quite weird. I don't know Dungeons and Dragons, but apparently the nurses who took care of those babies asked where the names came from.
Well its startingGray's Anatomy's names are here. I just sent home Ellis and Addison. girls. Mom said they were family names. Sure
We've had a bunch of Ellis and Addisons.
I am noticing a trend towards putting two names together as one first name.
Lilynicole
Aubriannelise
Lilyanna
Devonshane
Out of curiosity I ask the moms if they are going to call the baby by their full name or shorten it and they always say shorten it. I want to ask then why are you giving them this long name, do you know what a pain it is going to be for the next 18 years writing that all out on school forms etc?

I lived briefly on an Indian reservation in the early 1990s, and they did a lot of name-combining for girls as well, or giving her a feminized derivative of the father's name.
Back in the old days, people almost never went by their given names, it seems.
