What general discussion topic on allnurses do you get the most annoyed at?

For example: My pet-peeve is the "I hate working the floor. What cushy nursing jobs are there that do not require any real work?"

How would you like to respond to these topics?

For example: I would like to respond "Quit being lazy, put your time in, and develop into a stronger nurse before venturing out."

Without being specific enough to identify anyone, please contribute with your thoughts about topics that annoy you the most.

Please do not insult, demean, or disparage anyone. After all- at allnurses we are allfriends.

Yes, I'm a nursing student - and I ROCK at it! It doesn't matter anyway because I am going to marry an MD.

i'm offended

:roflmao:

I'm offended that you're offended. As a graduate of google university who is currently researching the pre-reqs to pre-reqs, I am completely qualified to tell all of you what's what.

Then you're probably also in exactly the right position to tell everyone why they aren't fit to be nurses, that they don't have the compassion required, that they are all in it for the wrong reasons, and that if they aren't ready to lay down and die for their patients (and coworkers, and NURSING STUDENTS, for heaven's sake--as they are the FUTURE of this profession!!!) then they don't deserve to even have that license.

I feel as if these new posters and topics are made up just to get a rise out of us. Every new poster talks about the same things. It has to be a prank, right?

Every now and then someone creates a new account so they can be "brand new" and still spout the same garbage no one wanted to hear under their previous username. Other times it's clear that someone is doing it to appear to have a more popular opinion on a topic (even if they have to create the equivalent of Online Dissociative Disorder to do it).

There are wackos everywhere! :D

Indeed!

Longer than that. I was on, ahem, "hiatus," and changed my screen name. I think I originally joined in or around 2001.

Yes, we started about the same time and I know who you are. ;)

This is a great thread and I just sat here for 30 minutes reading it and forgot to put the laundry in the dryer so I can go to work with clean clothes.

I will say that the "Help" threads always make me look. I want to say why but I'm hesitant to share but VivaLasViejas and I came upon a thread when we first started that had to be reported ASAP. It was either a hoax or real.

I truly enjoyed the anti-vaxxer thread as I got to see that so many nurses here are well educated and informative and kept trying to educate that one particular anti-vaxxer. In fact, the thread got a bit boring when she would go off in a huff and say she was done with it!

:lol2:

And then come back . . . . ;)

I like the posters who when they get a response they don't like say " don 't post on my topic again"

and nf the students who insist that they are oh so helpful to the nurses they are assingned to, so we nurses should be much more thankful to them.

Pepper!! Where you been?!
