What general discussion topic on allnurses do you get the most annoyed at?

For example: My pet-peeve is the "I hate working the floor. What cushy nursing jobs are there that do not require any real work?"

How would you like to respond to these topics?

For example: I would like to respond "Quit being lazy, put your time in, and develop into a stronger nurse before venturing out."

Without being specific enough to identify anyone, please contribute with your thoughts about topics that annoy you the most.

Please do not insult, demean, or disparage anyone. After all- at allnurses we are allfriends.

Oops, I spoke too soon---there's a brand-new thread here in General Nursing Discussion about "unhealthy" nurses. Here we go again.....

Holy cow, a bit of a side topic, but anyone read the fitness post that got shut down quick. There were kisses, tears, poptarts, and pies. It went down so fast I couldnt even add my 2 cents.

I just failed the NCLEX-RN for the 7th time. Can I just be an LPN instead?

I know! The worst part was the OP was willing to see she was rude in her wording and apologized a dozen times but people just would.not.let it go! That irks the heck out of me.

Necessary evil I guess, to preserve the anonymity of AN 😉

Actually, I found her apologies more of the "sorry if I offended" variety. She didn't really see that the problem was what she thought of others, not the wording per se.

You're all supposed to be "called" to nursing, don't you know? The ones who are "called" would of course model perfect behaviour.

Some days I wish that I'd hung up the phone as soon as I got that "call"..... :cautious:

"kisses, tears, pop tarts and pies"....hmm.... Now I'm sorry I missed that one!
