Female Nursing Students Dont like me !

I am male nursing student . I am very lonely in my class . Nobody in my nursing class support me . It seems like they hate me or somethings .

I feel like ..I am in wrong place .

I am start wondering that ...will it be like this when I start working .

They are so competitive and I feel so minority .

Please share your feelings

I would appreciate that ...

if the op is "trolling" then i am sorry to have gone through the trouble of posting my response on how i felt about male nurses. i shared my "feelings" on that subject and have read nothing here that changes my mind (although some of these posts have made me question my point of view but after talking with some other coworkers i realize that i am not alone in my convictions). i am still uncomfortable with male nurses. and from what i can read in other posts (to include the one on legislating patient choice for nurse gender) i think society as a whole still questions the role of men in nursing.

lol well then you're happy i don't work on your unit. but if i ever do get a job where you work, you'll be the one who will have to quit, i won't let a hateful coworker affect me at all. in fact, i would be happy that you would not be bothering me to lift patients and equipment for you. i bet you wouldn't bother me to start foleys in your male patients. yep it would be easy working with you. just wear a watch that works, because i wouldn't be giving you the time of day.

rofl! don't worry i would never ask you to help me with anything. i don't need a man to help me nurse. and from what i can tell (at least where i work) i am not alone in my opinions. i would also remind you that i brought a civil tone to this discussion. some of these responses have been much less than that.

Yikes,

wjf00, pulling out the inults to Angelwings?

Nowhere did I read her post as a 'hateful' coworker.

Matter of fact, her response that she has indeed questioned her beliefs gives her more credibility, to me.

p.s. okay now this truly is indeed off topic so, checking out. )

I hope this isn't true, but I suspect we are being scammed by the OP. Take a gander at his other posts.

If the post is not a hoax, then perhaps the OP is having trouble communicating with his classmates; his grasp of English is limited. Perhaps others are having trouble understanding him.

Go ahead and flame me for saying this if you want, but it has happened here many, many times, so when I see posts like the OP's, I see red flags.

I apologize in advance if this is a legitimate post, but I do think he would benefit from some tutoring in English.

Actually going over past posts in the profile... yeah... I see a pattern. Of what exactly I don't know. Like you I hope not but it is odd.

i don't know what the heck you are talking about, and i've lived/worked on both us coasts. this is not a personal attack. i'm just wondering where you are really located and/or from. you mentioned the "caste" system. are you from india? your post does not reflect american culture, so just wondering. it may help to clarify your position.

Hi. I was just wondering where you went to school? In what year are you in?

I asked this before but you didn't respond. Or I didn't see it.

It would be nice if you'd participate in a few of these threads that you start.

Who knows...maybe it will help you hone your communication skills here and in school where you seem to be having trouble making friends.

Just because there are females that don't want, need or feel males should be in nursing doesn't mean that males should put up with prejudice, bullying and unfair treatment. The fact that some nurses don't approve of males in nursing is no justification for bad behavior.

Give me a good nurse anytime, we will check the sex later at a more appropriate time.

I agree to a certain extent, except for when all you see in the "top" positions are the men in spite of the fact that they are in the minority in our field; that is when I become suspicious of them.

Is it possible earthlover IS trolling? I started to get suspicious, too, because he's never responded to any of our posts in this particular thread.

I checked all other threads he's started....17 of them in fact, and he hasn't responded to one post on any of the threads he has started. If he did, I didn't see it, and I think I checked all of them.

In one thread he said he wanted to be a nurse anesthetist, in another thread he wants to be an instructor. And several threads are just alike only just worded a little differently.

Is this trolling?

If it is, I wish people wouldn't do that. It is a waste of my time to respond to a thread started and then the originator NEVER responds.
