Hello! I figured it was time to start this thread now that the application deadline is nearly here. Let us commence the stress and commiseration!
I finally submitted my Duke ABSN application yesterday after being away from my computer for months while traveling. I feel excited and hopeful, but the reality is that I won't be able to attend without a significant scholarship. I love Duke's program and my partner lives outside of Durham (I'm currently near Tucson, AZ) so this could be the perfect fit.
Nursing will be a second career for me--I'm 34. I'm curious whether most of my fellow applicants are younger or around my age?
I hope we hear back by Friday too. The suspense is just killing me.... has anyone heard back from any other programs?
I have! I was accepted to University of Washington ABSN, Penn ABSN, MUSC ABSN, and UVA CNL/MSN. Interviewed for Rush and have an interview at OHSU this week. Also waiting on JHU. The waiting is the worst part!

Congrats!! That is awesome! I was also accepted to MUSC ABSN! I am still waiting on Duke and Emory's new direct entry masters of nursing program. Duke is hopefully (fingers crossed) this week; and Emory will release my decision on March 13th. I was also offered a really phenomenal job opportunity post grad, so I'm struggling with what I want to do. I am hoping once I know for sure about the other schools I will be able to make a decision.
I was accepted to Case Western's grad entry MN program, George Washington University ABSN, and UMass Amherst's ABSN. Duke is all I'm waiting on. I hope it's NOT Friday because I'm pulling a 12 hour shift at the hospital and I don't want to get a possible rejection while at work but I know it'll eat me alive. I'm hoping for March 2nd as I'm off work! Haha
Has anyone asked when we’ll hear back? I looked at the previous leap year and they didn’t hear back till March 9. I feel like we may not hear back until Monday ?
