  1. @DrinTheFutureRN Not a stupid question at all! This website has some great information (https://www.ohsu.edu/visit/transit) if you scroll down about halfway through there's a list of bus lines that can take you to different parts of campus. For general public transit maps this is your best bet: http://trimet.org/schedules/index.htm
  2. There’s several bus lines that will take you directly to the hill (#8 among others). Check out apartments or houses along those and you will save serious $$$ and be able to get a larger space closer to grocery stores as well. The public transit will get your where you need to go. In my opinion, the SW neighborhood is way overpriced.
  3. Unfortunately my background check is being held up by the fact that the court system in MA (state I lived in before moving to OR) is closed due to COVID. I'm pretty stressed about this since MA is in a large hot spot and there's nothing I can do.
  4. Glad they found the results! I called the medical review office and was told they weren't authorized to tell me whether they received the sample. Just got off the phone with Complio and they're going to follow up. Did your background check get completed?
  5. I was curious about the same thing. Parts of my background check are also still pending after nearly a month. Drug screen was done over a week ago as well. I do imagine the current circumstances are affecting everything.
  6. I emailed financial aid and they said they hope to send packages out at the end of April or early May.
  7. I wouldn't worry too much about the Compass trainings. I've done many of them already as an OHSU employee and they're not too time consuming!
  8. @kangaroo This website has all the information: https://www.ohsu.edu/school-of-nursing/compliance
  9. @kangaroo Which certifications are you referring to? You'll need your full vaccine records from your doctor's office to upload them to Complio. The Compass trainings won't be available until 30 days before the program starts. Then there are a bunch of forms to download and sign and re-upload.
  10. @kangaroo not sure which campus you’re at, but I’m pretty sure there are no dorms, at least in Portland.
  11. @tonniea YES. I keep getting my Hep B and MMR kicked back even though I have positive titers for both and the full vaccination series. Something about how they need to be uploaded individually. I moved to the US at age 6 and my medical records are a little spotty so this has been very frustrating.
  12. Hi folx! I was accepted, but in light of COVID, I will probably be giving up my spot. I currently live in Oregon and I am hesitant to move cross country with my husband not knowing what the state of the world will be come fall and whether we'll be able to get jobs once we arrive if school is delayed. Instead, I'll be attending a local ABSN at the academic medical center where I've worked for the last 4+ years. Good luck to everyone!
  13. @kangaroo I still haven't received financial aid info (I'm in the Summer cohort for Portland), so I'm not sure when we can expect it. I suspect Summer term will be online since clinicals don't start in the first term anyway. I currently work at OHSU and I totally know how you feel. I ended up turning down an acceptance to Hopkins because I just can't fathom moving across the country with my partner in the midst of this when I can stay here and know that I at least have a job.
