Dismissed from nursing school...fought back and won in court!

Published

I would like to share my account of what happened to me the final semester in nursing school...how I failed the final semester of nursing school, was dismissed from nursing school, then fought back and won in monumental proportions in court.

There is much disturbing evidence and testimony to indicate that I was used by my nursing school as a cover up for an egregious grade fixing scandal by them. Upon information and belief, I sued on counts of fraud, discrimination, and breach of contract (breach of the covenant of good faith and fair dealings).

I have not the time now to fill in on details. But would like to add that the school used a rather clever and deceptive way to fix the entire outcome of a semester gone bad.

Please share your thoughts on this...more details coming later.

My guess would be that this is a recent deveopment.

Nope. The link that you supplied on the first page of this thread was to a site that answers legal questions, and the post there was from two years ago.

This looks like a hoax. If something like this really happened, it would have been reported somewhere.

Especially if the OP won in "monumental proportions." If a school was hit with that big of a decision against them, it would make news.

That's what I wondered in my post..it WOULD'VE made the news SOMEHOW...

I had attended UOP LPN-BSN nursing program and maintained a 3.85 until the very last step, to pass their HESI exit exam. I failed and was not allowed to retake it. Sadly in their defense their policy was fail twice in the program and your out and NEVER to return. I failed and repeated PEDS passing it but there was not retaking the final HESI. I was unprepared, stressed out from having major surgery and diagnosed with severe test anxiety but that did not help. The Secondary Education School Board suggested that UOP allow me to re-test considering my good standards and GPA. But UOP stuck to their policy. Be careful with them. The program has a lot to offer but far from being the best. Their advantage is they are the only fast paced LPN-BSN program for working adults around.

My 2 cents...you failed. Why would anyone award you money for years of service that wouldn't have happened anyway(because you failed). Suing for something that never would have existed...sad day. Plus this whole post sounds like pure crap lol. Poor OP

If the link is about the OP, He is suing because the school DIDN'T fix HIS grades!!!

That is what I get out of it. The OP is suing because he didn't benefit from the fraud he is accusing the school of committing. It is somehow discrimination because his admittedly failing grade was allowed to stand.

I would love to be on the defense team for the defendant. I could poke holes in his arguments all day long.

I highly doubt this supposed "monumental" case is true.

That being said: OP failed. I don't see how that "entitles" him/her to monetary damages. You need to EARN your grade to pass! I'd be upset if others were passed, however, at that point, all you can do is be a whistle-blower. You knew the standard you had to achieve and you didn't.

But considering no actual details were given and we're speculating about a 2 year old link, I think this is more than likely all BS.

Isn't this a bit like suing your drug dealer for skimping you?

That is a true statement.

Precisely.

So you come on here to brag (about a potentially false story)? And what about the story is so great? Neither what you or the school did is so amazing. The school fixed grades & you sued the school because they didn't fix yours. Please explain why you deserve to be a nurse.

I love this site you all tell it like it is
