Daytonite has passed away...

It is with a heavy heart that we announce the loss of one of our most beloved members, Daytonite.

Daytonite was instrumental in working with the nursing students here at allnurses.com. She was always there for them as well as the seasoned nurse. Her love, however, was teaching those in a nursing program by leading and guiding them here at allnurses.com.

Daytonite had been ill for a while; more seriously in the past 8 months. She passed away on April 8th, 2010.

I am shocked & saddened. She was an amazing mentor for our student colleagues. This a great loss for all of us.

This is very shocking and sad. My prayers are with her family. You could always count on her to take the time to answer a post no one else would.

I am deeply saddened to learn about Daytonite, I remember when I first joined this site how helpful she was with answering any nursing questions a student had. If it was math, careplans, or case studies she was there lending her wisdom helping us think critically.

Thanks, Daytonite for all your help, wisdom and confidence you gave to a student like me. Thanks for being a friend, teacher and mentor. Thank you for sharing yourself with so many when we were desperate for answers, you always came through.

WOW, is all I can say. What a wonderful lady/nurse. I kind of remembered her name but wasn't sure, so I searched her name. I am amazed at all the help she gave to many,many nursing students on this board. What a wonderful thing she did. May she rest in peace, God bless her and her family.:angel::bigcandle:

I always looked forward to reading her posts. This saddens me greatly. My condolences to her family.

This just makes me so so sad. She was an incredible voice for us students and will continue to be via this site. I am so so sorry for all of us. :(
