these shoes are not what they are cracked up to be, they are absolutely NOT the best nursing shoes out there, and I am a nurse! I should know! I gave these shoes plenty of time to "break-in" and get used too, no go, I do not have any injuries or any weird thing wrong with my feet, I have perfectly normal feet, these shoes are painful. DO NOT GO WITH DANSKO. I went back to running shoes, then get your tennis shoes / running shoes, forget all of the "the best nursing shoe" claims, dansko and all of the others similar to Dansko are painful and cause injury.
I have 6 pairs of Danskos. Other than sandals in the summer, it's pretty much the only footwear I wear, inside and outside of my nursing job. I've worn Danskos for the past 10 years and I LOVE them
When people complain of them not being comfortable, I've found that it's most likely due to them being too small. You want them to be loose and to move freely over your heels.

This is your experience, not everyone else's. And, I'm a nurse too!!!!!
I've never heard anyone claim that Danskos are the "best" nursing shoes. I know a lot of people like them v. much. I am not interested in them (I'm a Crocs girl :)), but, if other people like wearing them, so what?
I loved my Crocs, but tried Danskos...4 different pairs. I wound up selling all of them to a co-worker and going back to my Crocs.
My feet are too narrow for Crocs. It's probably why I love Danskos. They are like Nikes in the fact they work for people who have narrow feet. They make tons of shoes in wide and extra wide but it's so hard to find anything in a narrow. I usually have to buy kids in tennis shoes. I never have back or leg pain after a day in the Danskos.

Says you.
Moi? Non.
Looooove my Danskos!
I have had the opposite experience with Dansko shoes. I wear them all the time at work, I have tried other brands, but always go back to Dansko. They last the longest for me and are the most comfortable. I always go a size up then what I normally wear in regular shoes for my Danskos. Maybe you need to go up a size? They are suppose to slide slightly on the back of your feet as you walk when fitting correctly as the salesperson told me long ago and that is exactly how mine wear. I love them for work and they are my favorite brand.

Sorry, not listening... me and my seven pairs of Danskos are going to go pow-wow in the closet and I am going to stroke them and call them my precious. I'm only sort of kidding - I really do have seven pairs of Danskos.
OP - you can give me all the ones that don't work for you. I will gladly take them and give them a home. :)
