these shoes are not what they are cracked up to be, they are absolutely NOT the best nursing shoes out there, and I am a nurse! I should know! I gave these shoes plenty of time to "break-in" and get used too, no go, I do not have any injuries or any weird thing wrong with my feet, I have perfectly normal feet, these shoes are painful. DO NOT GO WITH DANSKO. I went back to running shoes, then get your tennis shoes / running shoes, forget all of the "the best nursing shoe" claims, dansko and all of the others similar to Dansko are painful and cause injury.
I've worn danskos for years while working 12 hour shifts with no problem. I work in a clinic now and do a lot of sitting down and my feet swell in the danskos. I was heartbroken because I bought a new pair for my new position. I had to buy a pair of regular tennis shoes that I know aren't going to last.

Oh no!

Do you wear compression socks? They might enable you to wear your beloved Danskos again. I love these ones. I have five pairs, some as old as two years, and they are still holding together well.
I think I have duck feet...flat feet, fallen arches, & weak ankles = no danskos for me! But to each his or her own!!
I used to wear a specific model of ryka walking shoes until they discontinued them 😞. Now I wear crocs, but add a cheap insole that I change out every 3 months! Seems to work for me. When my feet hurt, it's time to change the insoles.
