and do you think you would be a good one, since a lot of what nurses do is educate people, why or why not?

Sure, I loved teaching lecture to nursing students, and others. Not everybody does, wants to, or can.
Why do you ask? Homework?

Yes. First choice but back in the day there was an oversupply of teachers, so took another life route.
Patient ed is the best part of my job.

In my day women could be a teacher or a nurse. I became a nurse because I hated teaching. Boy did that backfire.

No...becuase I'm THAT terrified of public speaking that even little kids intimidate me. (Do you mean elementary/middle/high school teacher? Or nursing instructor? Either way my answer applies.)
I've done some homeschool materials w/ my kids to supplement their public school education though, and I've been a tutor in algebra and micro, and do enjoy teaching 1-2 on one.

Sure! I hope to one day when I'm older and my back can't handle floor nursing anymore!

A lot of the teaching at work involves simple commands about not getting out of bed without assistance, how to use the call bell, not ripping off all your lines and clothes etc. I couldn't see myself in classroom teaching. If I don't like my patient, they will probably have moved on to another department by the time I get back to work. If I don't like a student, the year could be a very long year.

It isn't homework, as she is not yet in school, based on previous questions/threads. More like seeking out what it is she wants (or doesn't want) regarding a possible nursing future.
As for the question at hand: no, I don't see myself as a classroom teacher, although I do enjoy educating my patients for their particular situations, one-on-one. I do not think I'd enjoy teaching a classroom of people with varying degrees of interest or abilities, and trying to get them all to come to the same level of understanding or skill.
No....one patient/student and myself as educator is enough.

Before I became an LVN I taught young children. Patient teaching is one of my favorite parts of being a nurse.
I think I could be a good k-12 teacher. I choose to work as a nurse because the pay is better. (-: especially compared with the fact teachers have to get a post bachelor credential.

I would like it!
I wanted to be an art teacher for most of my life, but life has a funny way of working, sometimes.
Personally, I always loved training people and I loved being a CNA, so I plan on teaching a CNA class or clinical (I've been seriously looking into qualifying for that).
Teaching a nursing class is not in the cards. I will never pursue the level of education that is required... I think.
However, since I love the teaching aspect of nursing and I love training, I have been put in charge of teaching/training at one of my jobs... and I really enjoy it.

I love teaching my patients about their disease process. There have been a couple of times I've had a student follow me for a few hours and I loved teaching them this and that. I can certainly see myself doing clinical instruction after my own clinical skills become stronger. I've always thought it was a way to complete the cycle, so to speak.
