Anybody could read a few of my posts and determine it was me.
I don't post with that in the forefront of my thoughts; but it is in the back of my mind.
And as much as I love the site, I don't recommend to my co-workers; I'm just selfish that way. LOL. Although, several of them have heard me say, "I go to this nursing BB and I saw there. . ." It's almost as constant a refrain as "This one time, at band camp . . ."

I found allnurses through a co-worker . . .however she is rarely ever on here anymore (I ought to do a search to see). And one friend does post but she doesn't work where I work anymore.
Plus I've met one of the allnurses posters in person for lunch a few times. But I first met her on another BB.

I think thats just another reason why posts should be as general as possible. I too dont discuss my internet travels to co-workers. If they find us, thats wonderful, but i dont actively encourage it.. This is MY own little corner of the world as i see it. Just as i wouldnt "out" them if i figured them out i would expect the same respect from them.

I have been thinking about this a lot lately. Allnurses is a global phenomenon. It is hugely popular, and a lot of us spend a good amount of time here, venting, learning, and sharing. So, the odds that someone we work with would be a member as well is pretty great. I wonder: does anyone here not vent (or not tell the full story when venting) about work from fear that a co-worker may be reading the thread and know who you are and what you are talking about?:uhoh21:
