i thought this would be a great place for us to ask each other questions and help each other out with concerns, school work etc... during the next year.
please feel free to join if you are starting your lpn program this fall. :balloons:
my name is michelle, i'm 30 and i live in virginia. i'm looking forward to meeting all of you.
I am so excited right now I could just jump. I think the only other thing I have ever been this excited about in my life was the birth of my three babies. My orientation is the 21st and as far as I am concerned, that is not soon enough. I work in the ER as an admitting clerk and I just watch those nurses in envy, right now. Can't wait!!!!!! The fear that I had at one point is starting to go away. I think that the closer I get, the more I want it. Is anyone else like that? My three kids are all going to be in school fulltime this fall, so that is a big help. I only work every other weekend at work, so that helps too. My dh is a great support and so is the rest of my family.
Making this a sticky would be great!!!

This just in -----------------Got an reply from Brian Short re: stickey request for Club LPN/Fall '05. He said: no problem, it's a done deal. So we should be an official stickey shortly.
Oh, I hope it's okay, but I sort of promised him he could be our mascot. Hope nobody has a problem with that! :chuckle

So now that the thread is easier to find, I hope some of you will read this and reply. My orientation is next week, and wondered what yours was like. .... Do they scare you within an inch of your life? Did you run from the room screaming in fear? Or was it routine stuff and no big deal? Any tips or tricks you could pass on? -- Would love some feedback as I am clueless on what to expect.

Hi-
I had my orientation about a month ago. It was very welcoming. They provided a continental breakfast while the instructors introduced themselves. We then had to introduce ourselves. We were given the handbook for the program...had a couple of presentations...bought books and uniforms...had a tour. We were then treated to lunch!
They did say that the program is intense but they will try very hard so that no one fails. In general, my instructors seem very caring!
I can't wait for September!
Good Luck and don't be scared!
