I'm almost 32 and just about finished my first quarter back. I will have 9 more pre reqs to take before I can apply for the program. I would love to chat with others and cheer each other on along the way. OH, and does anyone else think English 101 is kinda hard?! And why the hell does it have to be one of the 4 classes that count at my school? I'm going crazy!

Starting pre-reqs this fall. I'm trying to be more excited but I'm worried - I'll be taking a class on Sunday and working... I work Saturdays and 4 week days. I'm worried about being in class on our only family day... My kids are little and I feel guilty. :(

I'm feeling guilty, also, about being away from my family and using part of my husband's GI bill (instead of saving the whole thing for the kids). BUT I keep reminding myself that I'm setting an example for them that 1) you can do anything you put your mind to, 2) it's important to love and take care of yourself, and 3) it's never too late to follow your dream.

Wow - we really are on the same path! I'm glad I have someone to be anxious with. After 10 years hemming and hawing over this, 3 more months seems like an eternity! How old are your kids?

Ha ha! Yes! It is really cool and exciting to find others starting this journey at the same time. My kids are 12, 10, 7 & 2

I have decided on the ASN as well and then will transfer to BSN later.

No! I don't start my BSN program until August, and every time I see good school supplies on clearance or anything I have been snatching them up! It's not as if I haven't been in school the last several years doing my pre-reqs either, I HAVE enough supplies, lol. There's just something invigorating about shiny new supplies, and getting organized and prepared!

LOL, you are not alone. It might be a little abnormal for me because I'm a guy, but I do enjoy it. I think there's a certain level of excitement that comes from buying those supplies because you know that school will be starting soon. Plus I love the smell of new stuff. Wierd, I know, lol.

Love this idea!!! I always feel like no one else is attempting nursing at my age and everyone is straight out of high school. This is a great support system!
