  1. Same here! So thankful to hear successful stories. I'm 45 hopefully graduating in May 2016 ASN and planning to continue for BSN. It's never too late!!
  2. I was 18 on the waitlist in 2014 and now i'm finishing my second semester. There's hope. All depends on how many people give up their seat to go to another school. I gave up my spot at BHSON then too. Good luck!
  3. Yep, that's why I asked for intervention ideas. I got it done though. Thanks!
  4. HI! I'm on my second semester and working on a care plan for my patient who had hip surgery due to a car accident (he is 32) the wound is infected now and he is being treated with antibiotics IV and oral. He is also has anemia which I think contributed to the infection. I have several ideas for my nursing diagnosis but I have trouble with the 5 nursing interventions I need. Maybe I'm complicating myself on this one because I don't want to repeat what I have done before (I'm on Ortho-surgical floor). So far I have: 1- 1- Delayed surgical recovery R/T microbial contamination of the surgical wound AEB deep wound culture positive for staphylococcus aureus 2- 2- Delayed surgical wound healing R/T decreased oxygen supply to body AEB low HBG, HTC and RCB count. 3- 3-Activity intolerance R/T pain secondary to surgical procedure AEB Pt expressed pain when ambulating/moving 4- 4 Risk for falls R/T unsteady gait secondary to surgical procedure 5- 5- Anxiety R/T change in health status AEB expressed concern regarding health and recovery. Any ideas? Thank you in advance!!!

  13. That would be great! We should figure something out to recognize each other that day. I prefer evening clinicals because it would allow me to work but if I have no choice I'll just take whatever. I will go to register on Monday after work.
