merry christmas all! was up only until midnight wrapping gifts but was up at the crack of dawn to be downstairs to see the little ones wake up and see the wonder..i had overheard a plot the night before hatched by the six year old in which she would share one of her walkie talkies with her four year old brother so they could report when and where they saw santa....in the morning it was everything three little kids six and under would expect...total awe...really made my christmas stress disapate...and, of course, the most fun was had with the empty card board boxes...so, i was the first one awake and all is well...now going over to moms...kids found a patch of red felt at the fireplace and figured out santa really had been there after all and they must have almost caught him for him to have torn his pants on the way up..(good thinking daddy....) love and laughter with a merry christmas and happy new year thoughts to all of you from our family...please feel free to relate how your christmas went...would love to hear all the stories.....take care!!!!!

My house was a wrapping paper frenzy...now it is very loud in here..Santa brought a big Karaoke machine for the six yr old. and various distortion pedals for the 14 yr old son's electric guitar...My house currently sounds like Britney Spears meets AC/DC....guess I should have asked for earmuffs...:)

I got up at 6...spent one quiet hour in solitude, meditation and peace. I love Christmas morning before everyone is up.....Gives me time to reflect and appreciate what I have.

Then the kids got up and BAM!!! IT was crazy and fun.....they loved all their gifts and are hyper as heck.

All in all, it's been a blessed and happy day. My military husband is HERE to celebrate with us....that is the best gift of all for us.

Got up at 6, opened my stocking and my santa present ( a Roomba!) and waited two hours for my husband to get up and open HIS presents plus others for me. :) Cleaned house in preparation for company, but now it appears we have mudslides so it's postponed until the weekend. So we get to spend the holiday at home watching South Park Xmas :)

And yes, I'm 36 years old and we still do stockings and I still believe in Santa. :)

Had to work this morning, but only for a half a day. Went in to be the house sup for awhile. I got up early and put the giftsunder teh tree for the kids. THey actually waited for me to get home before they opened them. Expecting company in a few hours... House smells like baked ham.... can't wait.... MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ALL!!!

i spent the night with my son, daughter-in-law and two grandchildren (both of who are sick with colds). we got up this morning, and my 4-year-old granddaughter forgot how bad she felt (even if it was just for couple of hours), for santa had brought her a barbie...everything. my 15-month-old grandson wanted nothing to do with the little tikes rocking puppy i had bought him..because he either was too busy clinging to my daughter-in-law (who has spoiled him rotten), or play with his big sister's toys. my sister, brother-in-law and nephew came over around 8:00, and we opened gifts with them, before going to waffle house for lunch (it beats cooking). we went our separate ways afterwards, and as soon as i arrived home, i realized that i had left my present of aveeno behind...and i am out!:o

oh, well, it wouldn't be christmas without losing or misplacing something. at least i made it home with my new "yankee doodle dandy" dvd (i just love james cagney)...which i am about to go and watch, right now.

merry christmas, all!

I made the kids sit down last nite to watch The Santa Clause. We had cheese, crackers, salsa 'n chips, apples 'n caramel dip all spread out on the coffee table, and we just munched the whole time. They opened their smallest present (tradition).

This morning, after feeding the animals, we all opened presents. All the Christmas lights are on. DH set up the kids' new X-Box, and they're hard at Halo. I pried them away long enough to go see the movie "Elf" - their consensus was, "it was a little cheesy." Actually, I agree with them! Oh well, we were together, it's Christmas day, we're having a quiet day.

Oh, and it's stormy and rainy outside, which is what I prefer! So many Christmases here in SoCal are sunny and 70 degrees, and it just doesn't seem like Christmas! (not that I'm complaining about the sun, but change is good, lol!)

Merry Christmas everyone!

Sounds like everyone so far has had a wonderful day... GREAT !

What did I do this morning? COOKED !!! :)

AS many of you, I too, got up at 0600 . Had my morning cup of coffee in peace and solitude (which means no TV) before hubby got up, ...put the turkey in the oven, and took my shower.

The rest of the morning was spent preparing Christmas dinner. Was mellow and peaceful.

Daughter and fiance came down around 11 am and opened gifts... we ate, and then just enjoyed the afternoon together. The guys took a little snooze in front of the TV, Jess and I flopped around on my bed and got totally silly, shared memories, giggled a lot, and then called Az. to talk to Grandama (Omi), her Aunt(my sis) and her brother (my gypsy son). Spent a good while on the phone sharing, laughing and enjoying.

Now the kids have gone up to the farm to see their Dad, while DH and I mellow out here at home... getting ready to hit those LEFTOVERS !!! :D (yep, sent a big serving home with the kids as well).

Going back to work in the morning... better go iron a few uniforms.

Enjoy the rest of the day/ evening, Allnurses !

Was at work hoping and praying everyone was going to show up. FOUR people were very late. The latest was my relief who didn't get there until 1 1/2 hour late.

Dear man was waiting for me with my gifts. I opened them and collapse exhausted into bed. He's off to see parents and I'm up and getting, eating supper and getting ready to go back to work. (I'm going to be late. hehehe....actually, I asked if in return I could be late tonight since she was so late.)

No complaints.

Merry Christmas.

Well I was up at 5:40am, had to work today. Was off yesterday, we just sat around the house and played games with the kids and watched Christmas movies all day, had a big ham dinner. Today after I got out of work at 3:15, the kids and hubby were waiting with a cold pop for me and we all curled up on the "pit" couch and opened gifts. For dinner we just ate ham sandwiches and "finger" foods. And of course now the kids are all checking out their new stuff and making plans on what to spend their gift certificates on.

MERRY CHRISTMAS YA'LL!!! :D
