Christmas Morning...What did YOU do????

merry christmas all! was up only until midnight wrapping gifts but was up at the crack of dawn to be downstairs to see the little ones wake up and see the wonder..i had overheard a plot the night before hatched by the six year old in which she would share one of her walkie talkies with her four year old brother so they could report when and where they saw santa....in the morning it was everything three little kids six and under would expect...total awe...really made my christmas stress disapate...and, of course, the most fun was had with the empty card board boxes...so, i was the first one awake and all is well...now going over to moms...kids found a patch of red felt at the fireplace and figured out santa really had been there after all and they must have almost caught him for him to have torn his pants on the way up..(good thinking daddy....) love and laughter with a merry christmas and happy new year thoughts to all of you from our family...please feel free to relate how your christmas went...would love to hear all the stories.....take care!!!!!

I spent time at my mom's house this past week. today, I woke up early, went to my grandparent's house for a country ham breakfast, then packed up to come home! We stopped at my husband's grandmom's on the way home where I had the HUGE displeasure of smelling chiterlings (YUCK!!! PIG INTESTINES!!!) and I nearly retched. Smells worse than a GI bleed to me! Anyway, that was short lived, and we came home where my 2 y/o son got to see his presents from Santa! He loved his helicopter, dinosaur movies, and Dora the Explorer items. He loved it all, really, but especially these things. This is the first time he actually understands Santa, and he was excited, so that was the PERFECT present!

Well,it was a really nice quiet day. I worked last night,and Ronnie picked me up & had wonderful, fresh hot coffee& a donut

waiting for me in the car. We went home and relaxed, called

family throughout the country and prepared a lovely turkey dinner for the two of us. We had some really nice wine with it and later opened our gifts.

Then,Iwent to bed so I could get some sleep as I am again working .

It was a nice,quiet day & we really enjoyed ourselves.

We will have guests next week when I am off .

Well, the wife and I left one Hawaiian island (Kauai) Christmas Day after a four day trip to go back home to another Hawaiian island (Oahu). What a life!
