Celebrate Your Fall 2010 Acceptances Here!!!

Published

Im graduating in may with a BS in health sciences from Michigan State. The nursing program is extremely hard to get into here so I just decided to get a health related degree while there and then apply to other nursing programs when I graduated.

I applied to about 4 schools and I just got accepted into my first choice school so I dont even care about hearing from the rest of the schools I applied to. Im really excited/nervous and proud of myself because I got in on the first try:D. I also get to start off in the actual nursing courses and clinicals since I already have all the gen ed and pre req courses completed, which also cuts down the cost by $18,000!

What about you guys?

WHEW HEW...I found out that I got into both ADN schools I applied to!!! Naturally I chose the one closest to where I live! I am soo excited to get started...ordered all of my books on Amazon the other day...now just waiting for August 2nd to get here so I can get started!!

CONGRATULATIONS EVERYONE WHO HAS BEEN ACCEPTED and GOOD LUCK TO THOSE STILL WAITING!!!

wow July! I've been on the edge of my seat for the last month since my spring grades have been in, but I feel like they are going to wait until the last day :-/ I know they have a lot of applications to go through!

I'm in the same boat - 20 spots for at least 500 applicants, I'm sure..and they only accept for the fall semester. Doesn't that suck? I applied last year and was waitlisted and eventually denied because of course everyone accepts their spot. This year my application is very competitive so my fingers are crossed! I can't wait to know my fate.

Yeah, I have NO IDEA how many applied. We were given until the end of June to turn in Spring transcripts with final grades. I am such a nervous nelly. I keep telling myself that I will be fine either way, but I am still unsure. I have worked so hard, much like everyone else probably, but I have two little ones at home, I need my career to start ASAP! I have three years to go until I hit the finish line, here we all go! Good luck! thanks for the reply. No one seems to reply to my threads lately. So it is nice to hear some news. I pray for all of us!

Wow...to those of you who mentioned drug screening... does the school pay for that or you?? I wondered if there were some schools out there that drug tested. Mine doesn't!

We pay for it. We have to pay for a background check and a drug test.

Thats a good question, I actually dont know about that. I guess I should call and find out since Im supposed to be getting mine done in a couple of days. Hopefully its free though because Ive spent way too much money on this program already and I havent even started yet!

I had to pay for mine. It was $91 for the background check and drug screening.

YEAH! I got accepted for the full-time LPN program I applied to for this fall!!! :yeah:

I'm still waiting on information from the school re: what I need to do/have done/get done & when orientation dates are, but I'm terribly excited. I feel like I am finally moving forward my life's path and I can't wait to start. Of course, after LPN I will have to apply for a bridge program and then I will work until I am eligible to take the CCRN testing, but I am finally going to be something other than a tech. :redbeathe

I've been accepted to PHCC's RN program for the Fall :) Very happy to be posting on this thread!

I got my letter yesterday I start KBCC School of Nursing in Sept! I already have a BS but this made more sense for me money wise. I can't wait!
