  1. It seems as though everyone has multiple days they have lecture or lab or clinical or all of the above. My schedule seems so simple compared to everyone elses. Monday - Lecture 9:10-12:40 Tuesday - 1st part of semester lab 8-3, 2nd part of semester clinical 7-3 Tuesday - Micro 5:15-7:45 Thursday - Micro Lab 5:15-8:15 I basically go for a few hours Monday, all day Tuesday and then Thursday night. I am totally off Wednesday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday. I really LOVE my schedule this semester! Last semester wasnt bad either; I had lecture and lab from 9-3 on Wednesday and clinicals from 7-3 on Thursday.
  2. For the Fall 2010 (my first semester as a Nursing student) I am taking: Foundation of Nursing - 5 Nutrition - 3 I am SOOOO glad to have such a light credit load, I know I am going to be super busy with my Nursing class because we have lab, lecture and clinicals every week!! Good luck everyone!
  3. Wow...I start the end of August and I am taking: Foundations of Nursing Nutrition That's it!!!
  4. I would say to wait honestly. I am starting Nursing school in the Fall and I have two little ones. My son is 2 1/2 and my daughter is 10 months. I know I am going to have a tough time going to school and taking care of my kids, but I have a great support system with my family that it will take some of the stress off of me. I know that I am doing something to better our family and if I have to be gone more than I like right now than that is what I have to do, but in the long run it will be the best thing for them. You need to do what is good for you and what you want b/c it is your decision. I didnt wait to have my 2nd one b/c I wanted them close and even though it would have been easier with only 1 I am happy with the decision I made.
  5. I have 2 kiddos and I am starting nursing school this fall. My son is almost 3 and my daughter will be 1 right before school starts. I am not too worried b/c I have a great support system and have people I can call at a drop of a hat that will watch my kids. I have made a schedule for my kids and will enforce it all summer to get them into a routine so when school starts it will be to my benefit. I make sure my kids are in bed every night by 9 and they wake up around 7 or so. They are GREAT sleepers and once they are down they are down for the night. By having them go to bed every night at 9 I know that I can study till 12 (which will give me 3 hours daily) and know that going to bed by 12 will still give me a decent nights sleep. If this would work for someone else please feel free to use it b/c whatever helps and whatever it takes know that in the long run it is SOOOOOOO worth it!!
  6. I actually just found this site today, but I wanted to post that I got my acceptance letter back in March!! I am so excited and love the fact that in 2 years (only need to take 10 more classes) I will be an RN!!!! I love it!!! Good luck everyone!!
  7. I actually figured out I wanted to be a Nurse in 2007 when I was giving birth to my son. I have since had another baby and I have a 2 1/2 year old and a 10 month old. I start Nursing school this August and am SOOO excited! I know it is going to be hard, but I will do whatever it takes to get through it for my family!!
