Im graduating in may with a BS in health sciences from Michigan State. The nursing program is extremely hard to get into here so I just decided to get a health related degree while there and then apply to other nursing programs when I graduated.
I applied to about 4 schools and I just got accepted into my first choice school so I dont even care about hearing from the rest of the schools I applied to. Im really excited/nervous and proud of myself because I got in on the first try:D. I also get to start off in the actual nursing courses and clinicals since I already have all the gen ed and pre req courses completed, which also cuts down the cost by $18,000!
What about you guys?

Congrats everyone!! I too got accepted into my program for Fall 2010!! I am so excited. I got my bs degree back in 2006 in criminal justice. In 2008 I had my baby girl and have been a stay at home mom since. I had always wanted to be a nurse, so I figured why not now. I can't wait. My program that I got accepted into was quite competive as well, they only accepted 150 applicants out of over 1500!! I feel pretty psyched abt it, I pat myself on the back.
Congrats! Being psyched is a good feeling isnt it? sometimes I still cant believe that I was accepeted, especially since its so hard to get into a program these days. Now Im just preparing myself for the hard road that this is going to be.
Are you a single mom or married? I ask because I have 2 kids (4 yrs and 1 yr) but Im a single mom and Im going to a program in a different state away from my support system which is the real reason why Im so nervous. But I have to keep telling myself that I know I can do this! I do pretty good at succeeding when I put my heart and my mind completely into something, so this shouldnt be any different. But still, Im super nervous!

Congrats!!!
I applied to a direct-entry MSN program for fall 2010 and will not know until the end of march/beginning of april, once I submit my grade for physiology. But I'm praying for an acceptance letter and to start in the fall as well, so I will keep you posted!
Again, congrats, best of luck, and celebrate this weekend on such a great accomplishment (and many more to come!)!!!
Hey! I am with my daughter's father, but we are not married. We have been together for abt 4 yrs now. Luckily we live in the same town as my family, and bf's family lives abt 15 min away. I can always count on them to help me out. I am commuting to my school, it is abt a half an hour away. I know it is not going to be easy, but like you, I am determined. We can do it! Good luck to you! I don't know what I would do without my family to help me out...

Congrats Everyone!!! I got my acceptance letter back in October. I start Fall of 2010. I'm excited. We are also moving so that I can attend this school. We're moving 3 hours away, back to my husbands home town. In another state. We have 4 kids, so its a huge move. We're moving in June and I start school in August. I won't start clinicals until next Jan, and will only have a few classes this fall, as I have most of my pre req's and general ed classes already done.
