Im graduating in may with a BS in health sciences from Michigan State. The nursing program is extremely hard to get into here so I just decided to get a health related degree while there and then apply to other nursing programs when I graduated.
I applied to about 4 schools and I just got accepted into my first choice school so I dont even care about hearing from the rest of the schools I applied to. Im really excited/nervous and proud of myself because I got in on the first try:D. I also get to start off in the actual nursing courses and clinicals since I already have all the gen ed and pre req courses completed, which also cuts down the cost by $18,000!
What about you guys?
Happy, Happy joy!! I've been accepted to University of Missouri-St Louis' BSN program. I am so happy this has been a 9 year journey but well worth it. I also finished up my pre-reqs. So I can just focus on the nursing classes. To those who haven't gotten your letters good luck!!:lol2:
:yeah:
I received my acceptance letter yesterday!!! Words can't describe how happy and grateful and excited I am!!!!!! :heartbeat:anpom::stdnrsrck:
After nearly three years of hard work in getting perfect grades in pre-reqs & moving half way across the country, I am finally in. I got into the BSN program at Northern Michigan University in Marquette, MI. To all those waiting for your acceptance letter, good luck! To those who got in, Congratulations!!! We have been truly blessed!! To those who unfortunately didn't get in, or have yet to apply, don't ever give up! It took me years of hard work and alot of sacrifice, but I'm finally in!!
Are you a single mom or married? I ask because I have 2 kids (4 yrs and 1 yr) but Im a single mom and Im going to a program in a different state away from my support system which is the real reason why Im so nervous. But I have to keep telling myself that I know I can do this! I do pretty good at succeeding when I put my heart and my mind completely into something, so this shouldnt be any different. But still, Im super nervous!
I am in the same boat as you (except I have not received admission notification). Single mom to a 6 month old. I applied to a few programs in my area but feel I have a better chance at some out-of-state programs. It will be so hard to move away from my immediate family that helps me so much! The out-of-state program is close to some extended family though, so I would have emergency help!
