My first day of class was 8/16, and it was great. About 6 of our professors came and talked to us before lecture started. They told us the same thing, that nursing school gets harder as you go on, and that we should take our elective now to get it out of the way. The only thing I don't like is we have to self study for our medical calculations test and it's going to be in October before we go to clinical. We have to make 80% to be able to go to clinical. We also have to make a 75 in each class to pass the course. It doesn't seem that bad. The courses we are taking 1st semester are : Foundations, Nutrition, Pharmacology, and Nursing Informatics(elective). After talking to several students in the class before us they said the easiest class was Pharm. b/c there is no final and all the test questions come from powerpoint slides! Everythings going great, only a chapter behind on reading!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Don"t worry guys, you'll do fine. Just stay positve. They did't accept you for nothing, but because they know that you can do it!

I Start TOMORROW August 16th, I'm getting prepared for it as we speak. I am so looking forward to starting with my twin sister. It should be really interesting. We have 52 students in our class and only 2 or 3 people have the syllabus that we have to bring to class tomorrow. Everyone else wasn't able to get it because It came in the bookstore late on friday and we had orientation and the bookstore was closed. The bookstore opens at 7:45am monday and our class starts at 8:30am. I already know it's gonna be packed with us nursing students. So me and my sis are gonna try to be there at least by 7:15am. Anyways, we've gotten all of our books. Bought majority of them online, save about $450! We're going to buy a few more supplies tomorrow in the bookstore!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'll let you know how my first day goes!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

They posted a list of all the books we need with the edition and ISBN # about a month ago and I've been buying my textbooks ever since. The nursing bundle we have to buy cost $420 in the bookstore and I found all 5 books in the bundle online and alltogether it's only $185, I'm saving tons of money!

We have orientation on the 13th and my first day of school is on the 16th!!!!!!!!!!!!:)

My BSN program starts Mon. Aug.16th and we have orientation the week before on the 13th. I am excited and anxious as well. Me and my twin will be in the program together! Foundations of Nursing Practice -7hrs Nutrition and Healthcare-2 Pharmacology-3 Ethics In healthcare(elective)-3 15 hrs total

The old couple made me cry! I was so grateful when he came out of the surgery with flying colors! It was cute when she told the doctor "He's my best friend"! tear:redpinkhe

After thinkin about the episode and what happened, that nurse was rude and she went a lil too far flirtin with that old man...lol

Yea, she didn't have to yell at him, but she was just being a concerned nurse. I really love this show, it's my treat for thursday nights. The couple with the newborn was so cute and I thank God that he survived those procedures, can't wait to see next week's episode! I missed last weeks, doubt they do reruns though!:)

I hope you'll be with us as well. I think there are 51 of us that are in right now b/c they've sent us a few emails and I counted 51 people on the email list.I know a few people that are in there now, but I never get to see them or talk to them as much, actually not at all. lol! Did your friend tell you how orientation went?

Forgot to add, we got our acceptance letters early in April and the Application to apply was due Feb.1, 2010. They work fast at our school, they seem really organized!

Hey, congrats to everybody! Me and my twin will be starting the BSN program at Augusta State University! We can't wait. We just got all of our immunizations done and CPR! Ready for Orientation!!!!!!!!!!

Hi, me and my twin sis will be starting at Augusta State University. We our the 2nd class to be admitted into the new BSN program. We are so excited and nervous at the same time. Our Orientation is Friday August 13th and we start on That following Monday. I've been on here for about a month just gathering as much info as possible to get me fully prepared to start!

We have to order our own uniforms and the deadline is July5. I think we have to have 2 sets of uniforms and 1 pair of shoes
