2010 is fast approaching so I think there must be a new thread for 2010 new grad program. I hope the moderators will allow me to post this new thread. I'm currently working at Monrovia Memorial Hospital which is 40 miles away from our apt. We live here in Playa del Rey, near the LAX and unfortunately I don't drive yet. I'm looking for any hospitals that offers new grad program for next year. I'm not even sure if I'm still qualified for a new grad program because it will be my 8th month this Jan. working at Monrovia Memorial. Anyone could share any info..Thanks..
I had seen the UC Davis open position, it is no longer there. I think they tend to only post for a few days because they get a ton of applicants.
They closed these postings for applications on Monday . Keep checking back though, more units might be opening up for applicants soon. Since January 2010 there have been like 6 "New Grad, CN I/CN II" positions posted. It's up a unit manager if they want to interview new grads though.
I havent heard from sharp yet either. I called HR and they said that the will be calling applicants starting april 19th which is toatlly contradictory from what the website says. Interviews begin: April 19th. Soooooo..i have no clue. I would think the last day of calls would be Apr 19th. Right?
I would love to hear if anyone has gotten any response yet.:)
yeah, i'm aware of all that. i guess i'm just frustrated not necessarily for me, but for some of my very good friends who can't find a job but have 3.0 gpa, amazing letter of recs, have their bls and acls, etc. guess it doesn't help we graduated with an adn! chla just sent me an email saying "sorry, youre **** outta luck. bsns only."
hi, sorry to hear about that email from chla. i know this is the first time chla has started to only accept bsns, but i applied anyway stating that i was planning to pursue a bsn in 2011. i received the application packet and just hoping they consider me anyway. but now i'm worried i won't even have a fighting chance if they are sending out emails saying bsns only.

as far as i know sharp healthcare started calling people for phone interviews. i guess after doing phone interviews, hr will forward the portfolio to the unit managers. i asked to the hr person they said that some unit managers started calling already while many haven't. so hopefully, our phones will be ringing next week
i hope we get a spot!

Apparently this program is open again for this summer!
Hi,
I saw the post about Sharp and just wanted to respond. They have started calling people, depending on what two units you chose. The Grossmont Residency PCU/MedSurg Program has started interviewing. Those folks started getting phone interviews two weeks ago. A friend of mine had an in-person panel interview last Friday.
I also know a few folks that have gotten interviews for the Memorial Oncology position, although they only have one spot open.... Grossmont ED has started setting up interviews as well.
On Monday (April 19th) emails started going out letting applicants know whether their applications were still being processed or not. I know quite a few people that got emails with the all too familiar, "...we're sorry, but we cannot offer you a position at this time." Blah, blah, blah. But, if you haven't gotten one, I don't think Chula has started setting up interviews yet!
I applied to the Grossmont PCU/Tele position and the Memorial Residency PCU program. I got a call last week to come in for an interview with the RN Manager in Tele. I'm very excited and of course soooo nervous. I also got an email saying that my Memorial PCU application is still being reviewed (they just hired their new manager) and that I will know by May 14th whether or not I will be getting an interview there as well.
Sorry to those that have not heard anything, but there still may be hope!!! Good luck!!
