  1. Hi, I saw the post about Sharp and just wanted to respond. They have started calling people, depending on what two units you chose. The Grossmont Residency PCU/MedSurg Program has started interviewing. Those folks started getting phone interviews two weeks ago. A friend of mine had an in-person panel interview last Friday. I also know a few folks that have gotten interviews for the Memorial Oncology position, although they only have one spot open.... Grossmont ED has started setting up interviews as well. On Monday (April 19th) emails started going out letting applicants know whether their applications were still being processed or not. I know quite a few people that got emails with the all too familiar, "...we're sorry, but we cannot offer you a position at this time." Blah, blah, blah. But, if you haven't gotten one, I don't think Chula has started setting up interviews yet! I applied to the Grossmont PCU/Tele position and the Memorial Residency PCU program. I got a call last week to come in for an interview with the RN Manager in Tele. I'm very excited and of course soooo nervous. I also got an email saying that my Memorial PCU application is still being reviewed (they just hired their new manager) and that I will know by May 14th whether or not I will be getting an interview there as well. Sorry to those that have not heard anything, but there still may be hope!!! Good luck!!
  2. Thank you sooo much!!!! I got the call a week ago. Other people I've talked to have received rejection emails....so if you haven't gotten one of those, you may still be in the running!! Think positive!!! And good luck!
  3. SmilinggigglesRN, The interview tomorrow is for the standard PCU/Tele position. I have a friend that just completed her panel interview for the Residency position in MedSurg/Tele though. She said it went well. I'm hoping that mine goes the same! :) R
  4. Hi, I am in So-Cal. I actually work for Sharp already. I got a job with them back in October as a per-diem nursing assistant. Supposedly they are really loyal to their current employees. Fingers crossed! Good luck to everyone!
  5. I also have an interview this week for the Grossmont Tele position...tomorrow actually! Ahhhhh! I also just got an email saying that I'm still in the running for the Residency Program at Memorial. I'm soooo nervous. I have no idea how many positions there are, I just hope I can impress the RN manager tomorrow. Any last minute pointers????
  6. Ok, thanks! Guess there was a little confusion in some of our emails. Thanks for clearing that up!!! See you in a week or so.
  7. Thanks, My letter actually said the 5th, but it said 7:30 instead of 8. Did Carol happen to mention which time was correct??
  8. Has anyone applied for Financial Aid yet? Or plans on it? I went to their site and followed all the steps, but then it asks for my student id...which we don't have yet. I'm confused. Anyone else in the same boat??? :stone
  9. Congrats to you! I'm on campus, I'm not sure how they decided, but maybe that will be answered at the orientation.
  10. Hi, No worries on the questions, any advice I have I'll give. My raw score on the TEAS was a 92%, the overall percentile was 99 for San Marcos. I went on campus and bought the study guide, although you can also get them online. Make sure to know you're conversions, there's a bunch of those and if you haven't learned them, they definitely need to be memorized. Everything else was pretty much review, but the guide totally helped. Then I went online and took the practice test, although it helped prepare me for the format of the real test, it was alot easier. The actual test was much more challenging I thought. All in all though, if you've completed all your GE's you should be ready to take the test after a little review. GOOD LUCK!!!
  11. Ako, CONGRATULATIONS!!! I'm on the main campus, thankfully, cause that's much closer for me. I can't wait to meet everyone at the orientation. I would definitely say you should double check with the school about missing it, I have summer school that day, but I don't mind missing one day of class. WOO HOO! Hope it all works out for you.
  12. I'm so excited, just accepted CSUSM's offer for admission! To respond to the last post, I'm not sure what the conditions are, but they are sending us a welcome pack that will have more info. Guess I'll be seein you on Aug. 5th at the orientation!! Congrats!
  13. AHH! I'm so excited I just got my acceptance letter to the ABSN program! It can in an email!!! I just accepted and sent my intent to enroll. What a relief!! YAY!
  14. Yeah, I applied to the Accelerated Program, so we're not supposed to hear anything until July 18th. I have spoken to a couple other people and they haven't heard anything yet, sooo two more weeks! I'll be waitin for the call, hopefully!!! Congratulations to you!
  15. Ok, cool! Thanks, you had me a little worried there. I should here by July 18th, I guess by phone though. I was expecting something in the mail, so thanks for that bit of info! Good luck at CSULA!!
