California's 2010 New Grad RN Program

Published

2010 is fast approaching so I think there must be a new thread for 2010 new grad program. I hope the moderators will allow me to post this new thread. I'm currently working at Monrovia Memorial Hospital which is 40 miles away from our apt. We live here in Playa del Rey, near the LAX and unfortunately I don't drive yet. I'm looking for any hospitals that offers new grad program for next year. I'm not even sure if I'm still qualified for a new grad program because it will be my 8th month this Jan. working at Monrovia Memorial. Anyone could share any info..Thanks..

got the same email from saddleback. oh well, i want Peds anyway :)

I received the same email and like one person stated it def was a nicer rejection LOL.

I have finally landed an interview for a New Grad residency program. OMG I'm so excited and nervous about this opportunity. I'm going to brush up on my interviewing techniques and my friend is helping me out with scenarios. I pray this is the end of the job search for me. If anyone else out there has received any calls for interviews good luck to you as well and for those that are waiting be patient just like I am and will continue to be.

Good luck Gem! Let us know how it goes! It's a nice hospital from what I've heard.

When and where should I look for it? I've heard for the fall registration usually is in june, I just worry that I easily can miss it. Thanks

@NickiLaughs thank you as well. I will be sure to report back with the outcome of the interview if anyone has any tips don't hesitate to shoot them my way.

This is actually my third time applying to the residency program. I applied the first time back in Dec, I took the battery test then so my results were still valid from before but I wasn't called for an interview. In April I applied twice the first time, I wasn't chosen no email to bring anymore info or anything. I would check back everyday on the website and see that my second submission was still active (Prospect) but I was getting nervous because I hadn't recieved an email. Well last wk I received an email stating they needed more info from me to complete the application process and that same day I submitted my documents and a few days later I recieved a call for an interview. Sorry so long, I did this to show that I have found out that you have to be persistent when applying to these new grad positions. I believe they are still calling ppl so keep your head up and if you haven't checked online at the status I would or even call and see if they can give you any details. I know the position is no longer accepting resumes so they may be still reviewing the ones they've received. I wish you luck and I hope they call you as well.
