boyfriends biopsy

Published

Hi all. My boyfriend is having surgery today. We found a lump in his thigh last Tues. He has been very sick (temp. of 102+ every night, vomiting, weakness, fatigue, weight loss 30+lbs) since October. No one has been able to diagnose anything. Before all this he was a very healthy 25 y/o former college football player. I am so scared and don't want it to show because he has been doing so well at staying positive..........:scrying:

The big surgery (removing the whole mass) is scheduled for Feb. 4th.

That must seem a long way away-do they have a better idea of what they are dealing with? How are you all holding up?

-Thinking of you----will send good wishes your way this Wednesday

The surgery went smoothly with no complications. The tumor was 6 lbs! Dr. said it was clearly defined and is sure that it is all out. Now we have to wait on the pathologists again. But now we can start working on gettting better. He is still at University of Iowa, but he is doing so well that he was up and walking around today. The incision is from his grion to his knee and his leg will be concave, but that doesn't matter to me as long as he is healthy. I am so excited that everything is going so well. I believe that all of your prayers and support have truly helped. THANK YOU!

I will update as he progresses.
